So, earlier in the week I posted about raising money for men's cancer awareness through a moustache growing picture campaign. Turns out that a reporter came by during the event and talked to us about a bit. The front page of today's paper had yours truly on the front cover:

That's "Buffallo Bill's Wild West Show" at Disneyland Paris.
There, when I was little, I discovered there was something delicious called Chili, even if now that I'm older I realise what I was served was a terrible bastadization and the cook would have been torn apart if he ever dared to enter this forums!

Fun at Avery Island! Here I am standing next to an old barrel being used to hold Tabasco. It stays in there for 3 years with a salt cap protecting from impurities. Fun fact: they use barrels sent from the Jack Daniels distillery.


Thanksgiving. I love the goofy face I'm making. This is one of the most natural shots of my brother and me: me running my mouth and him just sitting back looking cool.

Thanks for noticing, Jiarn. :) I've been tryin' to behave during the holidays, too, and so far it's working. I've still been enjoying myself... just on a smaller plate. ^_^

Good for you! I'm having to behave myself. Most previous holiday seasons I've eaten whatever I've wanted, mostly because the onset of "cold" weather often causes me to drop a couple of pounds anyway. (note: those in northern climates may scoff at the cold of a SE Texas winter, but it's enough to put a stress on my system.) This year, however, it's not about weight. Because of chronic infection, I'm supposed to be off of sugar (and grains) almost completely. So I have to be very very sparing in having any sort of holiday treats, because I can really set myself back. A few days of bread after Thanksgiving, and second slice of pie on Sunday was enough to ruin my sleep for days.

Yeah my health kick has me nearly back where I want to be on weight, now I can shift from weight loss to muscle toning. Even though the holidays I've managed to keep myself up, but other things are keeping me from really pushing it.
