Tycho's just being a dick again. He's still upset over the Mass Effect 3 ending thing.
I'm extremely close to agreeing. The writing in this is close to half star Drunk Duck level awful. Course I've seen some shit on that site I tell you what.Trenches is dreadful but the mockery of the Mass Effect 3 thing, this long afterwards, is not surprising. It's a humourless narrative strip without any actual narrative.
It may be one of the worst webcomics in existence.
Well, let's be serious here, It's no Look What I Brought Home. But the difference is the trenches was actually TRYING to be good.I'm extremely close to agreeing. The writing in this is close to half star Drunk Duck level awful. Course I've seen some shit on that site I tell you what.
Yeah, when someone actually tries a bad web-comic like Trenches seems worse than a lazy comic Look What I Brought Home.Well, let's be serious here, It's no Look What I Brought Home. But the difference is the trenches was actually TRYING to be good.
Yeah, I read that too. I'm.....Honestly, no. I can sort of see what he means - and I guess it's hard to be consistently funny and the more output you are supplying, the harder it is to stay funny. But...His tweets aren't exactly filled to the brim with wit and laughs, either. His example tweet that's "comedy gold"...Sorry, no.Well apparently all his good material is wasted on twitter (read his blog).
Maybe I can help you say it.Oh I don't know. I thought it was kind of fu--
Kind of fuuuu--
Kind of--
Damn it. I can't do it. Not even ironically.
Dunno, I've found some real humdingers in there...This is something you'd read in the jokes pages of a Reader's Digest.
We live to serve, good sir. What I love about this thread is the updates on his comics. If there is a post in here saying "today's comic was great" I check it out and am typically pleased. When the post is something along the lines of "It's as if Scott took his sweaty balls out and dipped them into my eyes" I avoid the comic. So all I've read over the past few months is a handful of great comics and ZERO crappy comics.
Are we all secretly waiting for some sort of Jim Davis moment with him? You know, "Boy, I've had this comic on cruise control way too long. I need to take back the controls and get it back to relevancy again."
Kurtz has been [semi-publicly] contemplating a "fuck it" since a Daily Affirmation back in 2007.Are we all secretly waiting for some sort of Jim Davis moment with him? You know, "Boy, I've had this comic on cruise control way too long. I need to take back the controls and get it back to relevancy again."
Or are we waiting for a Bill Watterson "Screw this, I don't wanna do it anymore" moment?
I actually really liked that comic, if not that whole series.
The irony is simply hilarious.
Me too, I was just saying how funny it is how PvP has basically become the irrelevant Sunday strips he's mocked. Course I'm not sure PvP is bad enough to be called the Garfield of the internet...yet.I actually really liked that comic, if not that whole series.
We will know when you can take random panels from different parts of his work, mix them up and still have the same if not better level of humour out of the mash up strip ;pMe too, I was just saying how funny it is how PvP has basically become the irrelevant Sunday strips he's mocked. Course I'm not sure PvP is bad enough to be called the Garfield of the internet...yet.
Don't worry, he'll be making jokes about the third season of Downton Abbey or Honey Boo Boo in... 2016, I guess.Yesterday's comic was extreme meh. I mean seriously, a freakin' Lost joke? Weak.
