[Webcomic] PVP Discussion

I don't know who actually wrote the dialogue/monologue for today's "mash up" comic, but that was truly horrible writing. Does this person not understand that the idea is for the comic art to explain what's going on without having to detail word by word what's happening? I could have gotten all of the monologue from the comic itself and they could have put in actual dialogue.

Oh, you were serious.

I thought you were just pretending to not know, and was about to tag your post with "funny". :p
No I really did not know. I don't actually pay too terribly much attention to anything on Kurtz' website aside from the comic itself (though I did like the DM roll chart for players not paying attention). Is it too much to hope that someone is taking the opportunity of having a 6 or 7 year old who likes drawing comics and running with it by mentoring the kid?

Axe Cop is written by the kid and it gets written as a comic and drawn by his 30 year old brother. It got extremely popular by being extremely ridiculous.

This crossover is just dumb, since lolbat isn't ridiculous enough for axe cop's antics. And also because lolbat is an awful character and needed to be quietly shoved under the rug when lolcats stopped being a massive thing.

Unlike everyone else, I'm not worryed about Axecop ruining Lolbat. I'm worried about LOLBAT Ruining Axe-cop. Axe-cop is great because it's made by the mind of a child interpreted by an adult, making it a master-piece. And Lolbat is a joke that's so unfunny that even Axe-cop is too intelligent to use.

You know would be really awesome? If when he came back, instead of picking up the story line, we got a couple weeks about Skull and his inconsistently sized girlfriend.

Never found Axe-Cop amusing. Never found LOLBAT amusing.

The arc, was dead before it began.

"From the mind of a 5yr old and the guy who acts like a 5yr old we present:"

AXE COP AND LOLBAT!

He still exists?
I think the last time he showed up was when scratch was trying to get Skull back from the land of mythology -- which turned into a "Science > Supernatural" arc written by a guy who knows nothing about either.

As stated before, I have no high hopes for this. I dislike Lolbat, hell I actively hate him ever since Kurtz decided to make him Butler's alter ego. And Axe Cop... I honestly don't see the appeal of it. It's an overdrawn gimmick, an adult cartoonist drawing pictures to a kid's story. I don't find the art particularly evocative, and the story is what you would expect: completely fucking surreal without an actual idea behind it. I'm sorry if I insult the brothers, but that's just my take on the whole thing. Once the kid grows up, that's it.

And today's comic... fuck, when was I supposed to laugh? Can anybody tell me? Please?

Nah the kid was probably like, "What his power? Oh he just spouts nonsense and punches people? That's not really a power..."
