Remains of six infants found in U-Haul storage locker

What the actual fuck. The bodies of six infants were found in a Winnipeg storage locker. Initially police thought "three or four," so they must have been in either some significant decomposition, or... in pieces... to not readily know how many.

I actually had one when I read the headline, but even my dark sense of humor wouldn't allow me to post it. I doubted anyone else would have sunk so low and that you all would have thought me quite the monster.

I'm horrified by this. But I'm just as horrified by abortion. I know many here support abortion, and the horror you are sharing in your posts to this thread smack of gross hypocrisy. I have a narrative that will flip this story around, causing ardent pro-choice supporters to feel sympathy for this woman, if it were true. This should soothe your conscience until the facts about this situation are known.

1) Third trimester abortion is generally not available in Canada. There's no law against it, but few hospitals, clinics, and doctors are willing to perform them.

2) This woman came into contact with many homeless people through her volunteer work.

If you assume the babies are from third trimester abortions this woman was providing to the indigent then she would find a lot of support among those who follow the "abortion on demand and without apology" crowd.

Ooh, here's a good dead baby joke:

When is it ok to store ten dismembered babies in a freezer?
When the freezer is owned by Planned Parenthood, and the baby parts are properly stored in "medical waste" bags.

Go ahead, it only takes five locks to block this post from viewing. I know my beliefs regarding the sanctity of all human life are not shared here, and this post is certainly not a kind way of conveying my feelings.

Canada has no limit on when an abortion can performed. However, most all doctors stick to the 'only before 20 weeks' thinking. The only time a doctor will allow a woman to get a third trimester abortion is in cases of mothers being at risk or the child being seriously malformed A relative had to have a third trimester abortion because the babies brain had not formed, for example.

If this woman was performing late term abortions it is still a crime. She is not a medical professional and she would have been putting the women at risk, for one. Secondly, we have free health care in Canada. If any woman she performed a hypothetical abortion for went to any hospital and they deemed the pregnancy a danger she could have had a safe procedure.

I am not good with vocalizing my thoughts and feelings on such short notice but, damn, this really rubbed me the wrong way!

I respect you opinions...but I find their sudden placement here to be in poor taste.

We're human, hypocrisy is what we do best. Before you judge too harshly though, look at you own stance on the death penalty and the right to defend yourself with deadly force. Yes, it's a stretch, but no more than the one you are making.

Not that I agree with it, but the argument can be made that babies are innocents, incapable of being guilty of the crimes leading to what would have someone put on death row or attacking someone.
Either way, it's a discussion that doesn't belong here at all.

But in all seriousness this is fucked up stuff. ive seen some shit in my time dealing with the after effects of chemical waste dumping, nothing like babies missing important parts and worse babies that are born with all their parts but their minds reduced to mush by some horrible invisible compound. You cant taste smell touch or see coming.

There was a similar case like this in Sweden about a decade ago. It was done by a woman (in her 30ies by the time the bodies were discovered) who was intellectually challenged and didn't want her mom to find out she had been careless and got knocked up, again. Somehow she managed to hide all her pregnancies. Can't recall how they died or if she even actively killed any of them but she hid the bodies in a freezer in her basement. Not sure how many but it was more then two. She had a 10year old son and the whole things was discovered when he showed a friend and the friend told his parents.

In Sweden abortion, birth control and information about both is readily available. She just didn't have the mental capability or confidence to use them, or turn down sex for that matter. I think she was sentenced to counseling, not prison.
