I can totally appreciate different tastes, there's some decent variety (albeit not much) over the whole 100. However I can't think of any remote majority chiming in and defending that. You should have heard all the call ins to the radio station/posts on the facebook page. It was unanimous.

She's hot, but no where near #1...

If you wanted someone who has been on the scene at least a decade and has remained constantly hot I'd have to give this to someone like Jessica Alba who despite being hot as hell, never tried to play that part in most of her movies.

They even show some of the hottest women of the past 50 years in their prime and they STILL picked "her" for #1. It's beyond facepalm worthy.

I feel like Sasha grey should be way higher on that list. They put her below Susanne Summers.

Jennifer Aniston is a beautiful woman, and her down to earth personality and perceived quirkiness add a lot to her appeal. But number one? ... No.

I let out a big wtf when I heard it was Aniston. I don't think she is remotely good looking and I never have. She is certainly not the sexiest woman of all time.

Why is Kim Kardashian so high on that list. That's fucking bullshit.

Also, Paris Hilton.

There does seem to be an inordinately high number of ambulatory RealDolls on that list.

Call me old-fashioned, but it has to be some sort of crime that Audrey Hepburn is so low on that list. She's top 10 easily.

I'm not saying she looks bad - that's certainly not true. But she's not the "hottest" woman in Hollywood right now, much less of all time.

This list is stupid in two ways. One for being wrong in places, but two for using awful pictures in several cases.

The whole list is rendered null by the inclusion of Paris Hilton.

Paris Hilton is physically more attractive than Jennifer Aniston. She's also a better actress. I believed her sex video was real more than I believed any of Aniston's roles in anything.

Well, "hottest" is definitely going to have some disagreement, as 95% of the women in Hollywood are already 9.x's in the purely physical sense. Trying to decide on physical attributes alone involves arguing that insanely subjective decimal place. This of course excludes Julia Roberts who is in fact a horse and should not be on this list.

For that reason it's less about the looks than it is the personality (or the personality projected by her roles) and the talent for me. That throws about half the women off the list immediately. It would probably push Hepburn up to the top, but behind that I think Anniston would sit nicely at #2-4.

Azure has it down pat, but its still fun to do even if it is futile. I have a 5 year ongoing argument with my girlfriend as to who the most versatile actor is. I say it's Johnny Dep. She says it's Sean Penn. Maybe that's not a good comparison because it's such a silly argument, because it's clearly Johnny Dep.

Actually I didn't look at the list (only surf at work and no way was I clicking that link), just the people yall were listing+my general feelings. For me the thing about Anniston is that she has that "Apple Pie" beauty. Classic, ageless, persistent. Nothing exotic or unexpected, just goes down smooth. The way she is portrayed in the media falls in with that as well.

As for her roles she's no Oscar type actor, she's just a middle of the road Americana actor. She has done some slightly more risky roles that haven't ended up in particularly great movies, like Management. The Breakup was a pretty fantastic movie though.

But you can't discount Friends either. Even if you hated the show, you can't deny the fact that it was probably one of the most popular sitcoms of all time. And this IS a popularity contest. Within that show she is the only one that has really spun off a secondary career (although David Schwimmer was amazing in Band of Brothers and hilarious in Curb Your Enthusiasm.)

I dunno. There is just something that appeals to me in a very warm way about her. She's like the Prom Queen that some people like to hate on but is actually a pretty decent chick.

I can't stand even looking at Natalie Portman.

I also think that Kate Beckinsale beats them all.

But this wasn't "prettiest", this was "hottest", which means extra sexy. And Jennifer Anniston usually doesn't play especially sexy roles - I haven't seen Terrible Bosses, so I can't speak to that.

Off the top of my head, hotter actresses: Monica Bellucci, Kate Beckinsale, Salma Hayek, Christina Hendricks, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Trisha Hilfer, Lexa Doig.

Yeah Azure, but there's still a "general consensus" to consider, and she's not even a General Public "top 5" based on ALOT of polls/magazines prior to this one. That's my point.

I know there are varying opinions, it's usually magazines like this take the general consensus when making the poll and announce a list based on that. This did not feel like one of those situations, it felt much more forced.

Sexiest of all list that doesn't include people who pre-date the camera? I doubt we will be taking about Jennifer Aniston in 20 yrs let alone a few thousand. And it's well known that these lists are targeted to the magazines readership and the top spots are awarded in consult with PR reps and not merit.

I guess creating a Top "x" list and putting some one on top that does not deserve to even make the list is a good way to get the general public talking about that person and your magazine.

If we are going to pick the #1 sexiest woman of all time, the most obvious and only possible choice for the #1 slot would be Sophia Loren (#47? Really?). If you think anyone else is better suited for the role, you are wrong. Sophia has been popping up in sultry roles for over 50 years.

Some might accuse me of holding some sort of candle for her. This is not the case. I hold no more attraction for her than I might for Dita Von Teese, Cyd Charisse, or Natalie Imbruglia (three other people I expected to find on the list, but didn't). My judgement is based solely on her body of work. It speaks for itself.

What's funny is that there have been several interviews with people from the entertainment industry. When asked the question, "Who is better looking in person than on screen or in pictures?" the answer is almost always Jennifer Aniston. So we may not be the best judges.

Talking with him...the flak he is getting from this is god damned hilarious. He is the most down to earth, regular guy, and people are just blowing up on this thing at him. Magizine loves it becasue of all the traffic it generated, but hot damn, he is putting up with a lot of shit from people hahahahahahaha

Dave's got a good point here.
It's like bad jokes in Christmas crackers. Tastes are so diverse that to try and tell a good one can divide the room, but an intentionally bad one, nearly everyone will agree is bad. Maybe this is like that.

Yeah, you may get people talking/get more traffic for a short while, but then you become a joke and lose alot of your own ground to stand on. Eventually ending up in fewer traffic than you had in the first place.
