I've gotten to play a bit over at my friend's house. Very excited about the game. i also recently received a notice that I have been invited to "an upcoming beta weekend." I hope that means next weekend.

I played 2 characters to level 11 (Bounty Hunter and Jedi Knight) and before the wipe, I recreated them with a couple minor edits in the character builder so that I could take notes on their appearance slider numbers. I modeled my Jedi Knight to look like my old DnD 4e Monk and she was friggin' adorable. The voice even seemed right.

I'm honestly considering spending my quality time this weekend with Skyward Sword with only a sprinkling of beta. As much fun as the game is, I really don't want to spoil all the starter story lines for myself.

Just found out that your abilities don't auto-update on your bar when you train new ones. This explains why I was having so much trouble on my Trooper, but my Bounty Hunter kicks ass.

I'm actually playing a bit this weekend. Thoroughly unimpressed so far, feels like it would have made a much, much better single player game. I'll put some more time in and see if that changes, though.

I'm really enjoying the Bounty Hunter storyline, but yeah... it does kind of feel like it would have been a better single player game. Also, I'm kinda hating the "crafting mission" system. Sending my companion off for a few minutes should be punishment enough, I shouldn't have to PAY for the privilege, especially if there is a failure chance.

It's far less of an issue once you have a few companions or you're in a group mission.
Again, the time isn't the issue. Losing my companion for awhile isn't the issue. The issue is that I have to PAY for it and it's the only way to get some resources... and I have no control over what I'll get at time. I don't want schematics when I sent somebody out for metal.

I've played to 17 now and I gotta say... it's a great game. My crafting issues aside, I really don't have any complaints aside from the lack of races. I mean seriously... no Wookies? No Mon Calamari? No Ithorians? No Zeltrans? It seems like their already holding back a lot of requested stuff just to make money in the expansions.

Of course, need to leave space for expansions.

Played it 2 times to LVL 30ish. Once an Imperial Agent, once a Jedi Councillor. Was addicted.

My only REAL gripe? The rail shooter for space missions. I fucken hated that decision most of all.

I actually don't mind the rail shooter aspect. Yes, it's not as good as the mini-TIE Fighter inspired flight from Galaxies, but because it's a set path, they can make each mission feel more alive. It's much more exciting and cinematic.

I got my beta invite, tried to log in, got the message "You are logging in from an area we don't allow people to play from".

LAWL.

Actually, makes me doubt my decision to order the game. Will I not be able to play? Or are they blocking access just in regards to beta? I really don't know.

Got mine as well. I'll start downloading it tomorrow.

EDIT: Ugh... I shouldn't have uninstalled my beta. It was still good and I would have only needed to update it. Oh well... I can get it done tomorrow.

Did anyone else do the Digital Deluxe edition? If so, what code do I need to put in to get my 30 days of free time and the final edition? Or does the pre-order code cover all of that?

Do you guys already have a guild together? if not some of my friends that I've played with for years has one (republic on a PvP server) come say hi to them at claninexile.com if you do they are pretty open to anyone and everyone as long as you like to have fun.
