Wasn't that the one where they basically posted in their own forum "We know there's bugs. We've decided we're not doing any more patches. Thanks and bye."

That's basically what Konami did with the Silent Hill HD Collection on 360. They basically said that it would cost them more to go through Microsoft accreditation for the patch than they'd possibly make in sales afterward, so they just offered everyone who bought it a free game from a list instead.

Pretty much. They said they weren't doing any more patches or fixes because they were focusing on DLC.

So basically they said, "Yeah, you're gonna keep the broken game. Oh, and we're asking for more money from you, too. So fuck you."

I know they lost me as a future buyer of ANY of their work because of that.

What I find funniest is WB decided that they needed to make Origins as a stopgap to keep the "Arkham" franchise relevant and in the minds of gamers. But I wonder if they've actually damaged the franchise in the minds of gamers.

I was hoping Space Engineers would come down more than 33%. Well, there's always next sale. And it's not like I haven't already got more than I can play.

I really want Dishonored and the full version of Civ 5. But I've already bought Bioshock Infinite, the Mass Effect games, and the Saints Row games. Coupled with my current backlog (stuff like Tropico, FTL, the classic Fallout games, and a whole bunch of other stuff, not to mention my ongoing adventures in Skyrim), and I think I have enough to last me until the next sale. And who knows, maybe Dishonored and Civ 5 will be even cheaper then.

But I still really want them.

I have so many games I can't play that I really want to. Less than 1 week to parts ordering! (Then, of course, I have to wait for them to come in and I'm on vacation from the 3rd until about the 8th...)

That's actually more how I feel about GoG.com than the Steam Summer Sale.

I've bought more games for a couple of bucks out of nostalgia on gog.com than I can think of. And I don't really intend on playing any of them. I just buy them because they're cheaper than a 20oz soda and, damnit, they were once cool. I have a problem with GoG, I think.

I am amused by the fact that, right this moment, the second-best selling item on Steam is "You Need a Budget."

I am further amused by the fact that it's 60 bucks, discounted 25% to 45 bucks.

This is your final reminder: Steam Summer Sale cards disappear on the 30th. If you have cards you don't need or aren't interested in crafting the badge, then you need to ether sell the cards on the market or give/trade them to someone who needs them. If you don't, they will be gone on the 30th.

If you want to contribute points to your team, today is the last day. So use your tokens, craft your badges, or whatever before 10am PDT/1pm EDT on the 29th if you want in on the prize.

I have a #3 and two #8s if anyone needs them to complete a set. Just send me a trade request if you need them. First come, first serve. (I'd LOVE any Shadowrun Returns cards that anyone has though...)

I crafted a badge with the cards. Got a background, an emoticon, and another card. Yay?
You don't get cards for crafting badges except as prizes for contributing to the team or having a winning team. You also have/had a chance at a prize if your team wins (1-3 games from your Steam Wishlist, but only 10-30 people win on each team).

Half off on Wolfenstein: The New Order is tempting as hell. That JUST came out like a month ago. Not even Dark Souls 2 would do 50% and it's older than that.
