Stuff You Really Shouldn't Like... But Do.
I'm a Penguins fan, but I fucking love these guys:View attachment 4843
(Actually I like them for all the work they do with the Sick Kids Toronto Hospital which my nephew directly benefits from, and because they give something for pretty much my whole family (with the exception of my mother) to bond over. But still...)
This is a perfect example of what I'm talking about and I'm with you 100%, I used to sniff the stuff way too much when I was younger which would explain alot....FnordBear said:This is the thread I was born for:
The smell of gasoline. I have no idea why but I love pumping gas to smell gasoline. The quasi-metallic smell is just delightful to me.
Never liked the series but for some reason "In Space" tickled me in ways the previous ones did not.FnordBear said:Power Rangers. Not the original Japaneese super sentai. I am talking the AmericanifiedbutmadeinNewZealandnow Power Rangers. Something about that show tickles my funnybone and strangely has inspired some awesome D&D sessions.
I hear canned chili over ramen noodles is amazing but I haven't had the "balls" to try it yet.FnordBear said:Canned Chili. I can't explain this. Bunker Hill brand spicy chunky chili with no beans. Nuke a can of this with a little cheese and some crackers and I am in heaven and if I keep eating it I will actually be there as opposed to in metaphor.
Sadly I cannot say I've run into anything remotely interesting in same-sex porn with Japanese actresses, however Hentai remains my "porn" of choice.FnordBear said:Japanese Porn. I am not attracted to Asian women, however, Japanese porn is strangely compelling on some level that is neither erotic nor intellectual.
Don't think this qualifies, more like a guilty pleasure because it IS tasty food.FnordBear said:The Local BBQ Joint: I am not a fan of BBQ however I can not resist the golden yellow mustard-based BBQ that Maurices has. Is it their mustard base? Charming racism? Some other secret ingredient?
History is the only one I'll agree with here, but it's got alot of quality programming.FnordBear said:The History Channel, Discovery Channel, TLC, etc. These channels show almost nothing but pseudo reality shows. Reality shows are something I loath beyond all imagination with a burning hatred to rival that of a thousand class K stars. Yet I love these channels.
As much as I made fun of it in the Skrillex thread, there are a few choice songs that I have set on my permanent list on my MP3 songs.FnordBear said:Dub step. This is just techno that lets the beat drop then someone says something followed by Optimus Prime taking a shit. I can't get enough of it for some reason.

The green men are the only likable thing in the Vancouver organization.I'm a Penguins fan, but I fucking love these guys:
Apparently Force and Sully got the idea to wear the green suits at a hockey game after watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.Did they just adopt that shit from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia or vice versa?
Yeah, I agree. Lacrosse is a pretty boring game and the Rocks aren't very interesting.

About ten years ago near where I live they had a blind auction for the contents of a few storage units. The auction clearly stated these were sales for contents unseen, the storage company had not opened them to preserve the blind nature of the auction. Bidding war happened between local rival auctioneers. In short dude wound up paying 2k for an empty unit. Basically the unit had been cleared out years before by the renter but they left the lock on it and had never canceled the storage contract.Storage Wars type shows, could give a rat's ass about the people they can all diaf, but just want to see what idiots abandon in storage units.
Try RPM. It's a bit more serious than most of the seasons, kinda like "In Space" was. Mostly because everyone involved thought it would be the final American series, due to low ratings for the previous seasons. Thankfully Samurai/Super Samurai seems to be doing well.Never liked the series but for some reason "In Space" tickled me in ways the previous ones did not.
RPM had the right amount of 4th wall silly breakage, and super serious grim-dark. Samurai really reminds me of the original MM more than anything else; horrible acting, tons of crazy energy.Try RPM. Also, I'm STILL waiting on Linkara to do another "History of the Power Rangers" segment. I think he left off on Dino Thunder.
