Same here. It's not only the one movie with Ferrell that I love (unless you count Megamind), but it's one of my personal favourite movies.
I actually still haven't seen that, but I figured we were just talking comedy.
It's funny.
And sometimes not.
And sometimes not.
I'm told it's a drama with comedy in it, but is not a full blown comedy. I haven't seen it though so I dunno.

That's accurate. It's got a romantic angle in it too.
Basically, to sum it up, it's the story of a man who one day awakens to find his life has a narrator that only he can hear, and while it knows truths nobody else could know, it also provides revelations that alarm him greatly.

I watched Horns tonight. Critics hated it and it only has a 44% or so on Rotton Tomatoes. I loved it. I thought it was kind of predictable near the end, but Daniel Radcliff had an amazing performance. Gas will like it because the lead girl is a hot redhead.

They sort of show that part. It's being shown from overhead in quick cut scenes as he's narrating what he did. So no nudity in that scene, but it's brutal nonetheless. I mean, how can that be done without being brutal? It's a brutal act, man! Did you refuse to see "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo"?
It's not a refusal, but I don't feel like watching that shit. You'll have to watch enough of those scenes for both of us.
I've read both those books. That entire subplot in Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is pointless and feels like throwing it in so she'll have something to revenge for. At least in Horns it was part of the main story. Is the explanation of the horns/ending as dumb as it is in the book?

I really liked Anchorman 2, but Will Ferrell is to me, what Spider-Man is to @Charlie Don't Surf . I can't be objective about his movies.

Mr. Z loves this movie and Talladega Nights, so I've seen them more times than I've wanted to (which is more than zero). I will say for Blades of Glory, I enjoy the supporting cast far more than Ferrel's Chaz Michael Michaels. And it makes me sad now knowing Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are divorced.
And god help me, but this always makes me laugh:

The only Will Ferrel movie I didn't like that I've seen had to be "Old School", and even then it wasn't because of him.
I find I really don't like Will Ferrel's "man-child" roles, but I enjoy him immensely in other parts. I'll never get tired of his Alex Trebek or Mugatu and I really liked Lord Business. I will have to give Stranger Than Fiction another try. I fell asleep last time I tried to watch it, but I was also sick at the time.
I went to Will Ferrell's iMDb page just to see what he's been in.
I just realized I have not seen any of his movies. A few of his television shows (Oblongs, SNL), but no movies.
Even I didn't realize the magnitude of movies I must've missed until now.

I liked Semi-Pro solely because of Andre Benjamin/3000's supporting turn and the joke in the climax that brought me to tears laughing.
Saw Exodus yesterday.
Overall the movie was rather meh.
It does prove once and for all though that my ability to watch movies with children dying has been forever changed. This isn't really a spoiler since I am sure all of you know the story of Moses, but they put a lot of emphasis on the final plague with scenes of sleeping children having their breath just cease as the shadow swept over Memphis, one even still in her mothers arms. I even felt bad for Ramses because they established early on how much he loved his newborn son and how much he worried something bad was going to happen, and this movie tried pretty hard to make Ramses into a total douche.
I had to go home and give my son a huge hug.

Holy shit Birdman is amazing, the characters, the music, the imagery, BEAUTIFUL! A damn good film experience.
