An hour ago from the time of this post, a Truck drove into the Christmas Market in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
9 dead and many more injured.
The perpetrator is still on the loose.

I usually am not a fan of Facebook, but I am glad that there is Facebook Safety Check where friends can indicate that they are safe.
A good friend of mine was at that Christmas Market, but left an hour or so before the attack.

Just for your information, Charlottenburg is a part of Berlin which is very popular with tourists and young people alike. Think Brooklyn, but German.

Ugh. I remember my friend was just telling me her sister and parents were just there a few days ago. I'm so glad they weren't there today, but I fell terrible for those who were.

Police isn't sure if they have the right suspect, perpetrator may still be on the loose.
