Job news here as well. The teacher I'm substituting for got slapped with sick leave until the end of October.
Which means I get to substitute for at least five weeks more! ^^ The funny thing is, this started as a two-weeks-or-less deal.

Can't believe how freakin long it took me to post this! MY BROTHER WAS ON TV WITH JASON LEE!
Starting at about 1:14, he's the bass player--all the way to the right of Lee. And the other guys are the other members of E. Company! EXCITING!Hooray for Trey!
That's pretty awesome. Is this the brother who plays (or played) at Bisbano's regularly? Is he getting gigs out of it?
Another local one for you, CG: I just found out my son's swim coach was the "buff swimming dude" who tosses his hair back in slo'-mo' on Epic Movie. Not the greatest credit to one's name, but still, it was a major motion picture. The clip is on youtube. I'll get it from my wife.

Yep, that's the one! And yes, those movies are silly, but that's pretty cool!
Not everyone gets a chance to be in slow motion..The clip actually hasn't helped him as much as their touring. Sad thing is they wouldn't let the band play, just pretend to play along other music. ...But they COULD have. They've been hopping from college town to college town in the south. This weekend they landed a gig at some Mississippi frat house. It's gonna be swarming with rich guys who throw tips away like trash when they're drunk, so good times for E. Company!

Oddly, this recipe called for cashews rather than peanuts. I figured I'd go with it. This way I can bring it in with me to the studio for dinner and not worry about triggering any allergies.
I also substituted the szechaun pepper with black pepper and the chili pepper with jalepeno, while I'm being honest.

I'm having a great birthday! I got some new jeans and a hoodie. I am happy dappy.
today was a good day. I got my oil changed and state inspection done finally and most importantly Mom came home from the hospital and should be back up to 100% any day now. The doctor said her vertigo episode probably won't happen again, which was an added bonus. We'll all finally get a good night sleep again.
