I just started to fear a bit for Sabine. It sounds like she is genuinely in love with Nale, while Nale... well, I fear in the end he'll sell her out with as little care as he did Yukyuk, Yikyik, Leeky, Hilgya...

Berserking has a time limit, that's what Roy has been doing for the last several Roy/Thog strips, waiting it out.
I thought that may have been it but I wasn't sure if there was something else I had missed
I think Thog's Barbarian rage ended or Roy was able to break his concentration, which ended it. That's at least 3 times Thog's used it today, so unless he's high level he may not have more. Which means he's kinda fucked...
Basically, a Barbarian is better than a Fighter when he's raging, because he gets stat bonuses and other perks. However, when the rage is over, the Barbarian is winded and weakened, making him easier to kill. Fighters are always at a base level of competency, even if disarmed, because they get a shitload of combat feats. This gives Fighters the edge against Barbarians if they aren't raging.

especially in a long battle. This is where fighter shines in the long run. A barbarian is nice to have for a short quick battle and skirmishes.
