I noticed that, too.
Familiars are at least partially supernatural in origin. No idea how it works with Mr. Scruffy.

Scruffy's a cat. He does whatever he likes. Also, not a familiar, just a ranger's animal companion.

Theoretically, V can see through Blackwing's eyes, but I think it's feat dependent.

So I don't think it would work if V was looking threw the eyes of blackwing since it's a gaze attack. Gaze attacks don't work if you're looking at them in a mirror, and I feel like this is similar enough. It's not a direct line of sight so to speak and on top of that I don't think they would target the bird.

As for Mr. Scruffy i believe it only works on humanoid creatures.

I know V spent some time in hell (or wherever that place was) previously and if memory serves, he has to spend some more time for the other demons, correct?

If so, then it would be a really bad time for V to suddenly disappear right as the force cage ends.

Have we ever gotten a canonical source as to exactly how much time has passed in the comic since the start?
The kid on her chest translates into at least a certain amount of time, but you never know with dwarven physiology.

Not sure. The oracle said Belkar would draw his last breath in a year's time, but he even joked that was in comic time, not real time. And that was years ago.
