Wasabi Poptart

I've lost my mind. I'm considering trying out for a roller derby team despite the fact that I haven't been on skates in about 15 years.

Storm went through just after 4pm. In seconds it went from light rain to hail and zero visibility. Trees down. Garbage cans across the yard, even spun the grill on the patio sideways.

And in just a couple minutes, it was all over.

I ordered some stuff off of j-list. Anyone know how long it takes to get their stuff?

Hrmh... Had a job interview today. One-year substitution back in the high school where I studied, a decade ago.

The good thing? I think I made a good impression, and of the four selected for interviews I was the only one with high school work experience.

The bad thing? One of the people being interviewed was the lady who got a six-month substitution I was gunning for in the same county... a substitution that's now ending. I hope to God this won't be one of those fake interviews where they've already decided to hire her but have to put up an interview for the sake of appearing fair.

My cousin's girlfriend just shouted while losing a game of cards, "I DON'T WANNA BE A TYPICAL WOMAN!" Is there some stereotype I'm missing? Another weird thing--when people who know her but not him ask about a bruise, she makes (joking) hints about him hitting her. That's a weird joke to tell someone who has no background knowledge of this person... in my opinion. But then, I think most of what she does is annoying.

Sounds like a very, very sarcastic person. The stereotype is that women suck at playing cards. I don't know where it comes from, but I know it exists.

Are you sure? This APOD says that volcanoes produce lightning by themselves without thunderstorms..
Actually volcano-induced lightning is responsible for more deaths than lava. (Lava is actually one of the least deadly parts of a volcano. In reality it's slow and moves downhill, so you know exactly where it's going.)

I love love LOVE talking to my Dad on Facebook. He loves technology so much, and he has tons of fun on that site. He sends my siblings and me all these silly messages and joke-brags about being "friends" with celebrities. "Hey Leslie, I showed one of your ukulele videos to ___insert famous musician_, so you might be getting a call about an album!"

^_^ Love my Dad.

I had a dream last night that I woke up, and on the bed was a handwritten note that said, "I was in your house last night." Then at the bottom, I kid you not, it said "Call Smith Security for a home security consultation. 1-800-555-5555."

I had a weird dream last night, it was as though I was watching Economic/Geographic Documentaries... I kept disagreeing with the information being said...

I woke up saying, "The Netherlands do not sell 6,000 tons of whale oil to Nigeria every year."

I had a dream that I was seeing a sexy librarian but before we could start officially going out I had to get er to meet my best friend, Milhouse from the Simpsons.

It did not go well.
