I dunno. I've seen worse trailers, to be sure, but this just ain't doing it for me.
I don't get what it's selling, either.I dunno. I've seen worse trailers, to be sure, but this just ain't doing it for me.
Well put.I don't get what it's selling, either.

That's what I was thinking. The Brendan Fraser films were campy, schlocky fun. This trailer looks like what would happen if WB/DC got their hands on the Mummy franchise. The only thing that made the Brendan Frasier Mummy worth watching was that it didn't take itself seriously. Had they tried to do it serious it wouldn't have worked.
This one will not work.
Yeah, Universal? Don't try to cram Hyde into this movie. Don't have the heroes try to use the Hyde formula against the Mummy. Don't mention him. Don't even hint at him. Or if you absolutely must - make it a post credits scene.Hey Universal? If you want to create a movie universe, emulate Marvel, not DC.
Aww man, they dragged Anthony Hopkins into this?Meh. Pass.
Man, this is the same Optimus that rips out Megatron's spine after Megatron proposes a truce. True hero.I will admit there are some parts of the trailer that intrigue me. Is that Unicron? Why is Optimus stabbing Bumblebee? I thought Lennox was stated to have been killed?
Optimus "Rip out yo' Spine" Prime. This is Michael Bay psychopathic murderer Optimus Prime, not every other heroic, freedom is the right of all sentient beings Optimus Prime.
My personal favorite is when Sentinel Prime begs for his life. "NO OPTIMUS."Optimus "Rip out yo' Spine" Prime.
The two big red-white-and-blue Heroes of Freedom and Justice - Superman and Optimus Prime - having become killers in their latest renditions is just a sign of the times and a reflection on the way modern America behaves (and sees) itself in the geopolitical arena.Optimus "Rip out yo' Spine" Prime.

'Member when being grim and dark wasn't a requirenment for being a hero??The two big red-white-and-blue Heroes of Freedom and Justice - Superman and Optimus Prime - having become killers in their latest renditions is just a sign of the times and a reflection on the way modern America behaves (and sees) itself in the geopolitical arena.
