[TV] The Walking Dead

I actually haven't read past the prison stuff so it will be interesting to see where this goes.
In the comic, this is where it starts getting REALLY interesting. Most of my favorite parts are post prison. If they can replicate even half of that then I'm sold for another season.

That said, they are quickly going to outpace the comic. Next season will probably take them to the end of the current comic arc and that's when we're going to see just how good the writers actually are.

Oh I don't think so, I think they can very much draw out
Sanctuary
and even after that
The town where Jesus comes from
that will lead to a longer arc of
Negan's group/town
What really interests me is if they'll tackle the
Carl getting his eye blown off
or if we're going to see
Instead of Rick + Andrea hookup if we'll get Rick + Michonne

I'm actually kind of surprised how quickly they're catching up to the comic, honestly. Then again, they did skip a storyarc or two along the way or merge some stories (like having the Governor show up at the exact same time as the prison story started; in the comic, he didn't show up until MUCH later).

Yep they completely skipped the
Cannibals and the Preacher
side story.

Yeah, the side story you're talking about doesn't happen for a while yet. What I'd really like to see should happen pretty soon.

Three bandits hold Rick, Abraham, and Carl at gunpoint and try to rape Carl. Rick kills one of them by ripping the bandit's throat out with his own teeth.

We finally learn what Daryl did prior to the outbreak.

From the Talking Dead segment, they say the country club staff turned against the affluent members who had sought refuge there. That explains the lynchings. I thought it was a mass suicide pact.

I'm in total shock.
They actually did it
They did the twins scene from the novels, albeit different characters
Bravo, AMC, I didn't think you'd actually be ballsy enough to do it.

Funny enough I didn't watch it, but that is because seeing the previews I already knew what was going to happen.

I had just watched 12 Years a Slave the night before, so I was just not in the mood for something that dramatic. Now that what I thought is confirmed I can go into it next week more prepared and a little less drama drained.

You know what I just realized? The bandits that Daryl joins in the other episodes are the same ones who broke into the house Rick had been sleeping in. This is going to be interesting.

WELP!

That wasn't emotionally taxing to a degree I haven't felt in a while or anything.

Good lord I'm loving this season.

Very interesting episode. I'm curious to see what the final brings.

I'd bet money that Terminus is really the group of cannibals from the comic. Maybe they'll cut off Rick's hand.

That would be amazing I thought they were going to skip that storyline but since they did the -twins- I'm willing to bet that's a solid possibility, especially after the sneak peek we see at the end of the episode.

It keeps them all moving towards Washington too. Doubt Rick ever loses his hand in the tv show.

I am getting the strongest "nope!" feeling from that episode end.

Looking forward to the finale. Really hating the group Daryl is with, but if there's a clash, I expect he'll go against them considering he was even willing to leave Merle last season.

It's too late he's been "claimed"

Oh, I never once got the feeling that he 'liked' the group he was with. He's just going along with it for safety in numbers until he can find Beth/the others.

Dale's new group should take a page from cards against humanity and lick stuff they want to claim.
You mean Daryl? 'Cause Dale ...

Died in season 2/

The whole claiming thing is really juvenile. "Dibs! Dibs! Dibs on everything!" Like they're the fucking seagulls from Finding Nemo.

Didn't read the comic but I don't trust Terminus for SHIT. That place was waaaaay too clean and the hospitality something skin crawling.

It reminded me a bit of that old folk home scene in Book of Eli
