I just want this show to come back so I can have faith in television again.

They started pre-production a little under a year ago. Were signed on for two more seasons and a movie-length special.

But c'mon. I feel like I'm going to be waiting longer than I waited for Mad Men.

It's always like 2 years between seasons. It sucks, but I guess that's what happens when so much of the production is two guys.

It must have burned them out when they did not take a year's vacation between the last two seasons.

I know they are working with a new production company now.

Dammit, you got me all excited thinking that the new season had started up.

Last I heard, it starts up again this fall, I think? November or so? I could be mistaken here.

Huh, guess I'm not as far behind on the show as I thought I was. Still haven't seen the second part of season 4.

You are missing out. But you knew that.

They were, of course, all pretty good. But "Everybody comes to Hank's" and "Operation PROM" were downright mindrending.

Venture Bros. in my opinion is the greatest Western Animated show I've ever seen, equal only to Samurai Jack. I miss it dearly and really hope to the season kicks off soon.

GasBandit I also got my hopes up when I saw the thread title.

The only t.v. show I completely own on DVD.
Can't wait to see how Gary settles into the O.S.I., assuming he joins them.

Yea totally. I'm not exactly jonesing for more Venture Brothers right now or in general. Just nice to know that more is coming and it will be great.

Off-topic: Juice and BH, do y'all like Archer?

I've actually only seen up til the end of Season 2 myself, just seemed like it might be up your alley.

I will have my DVDs of the first three seasons of VB to keep me entertained until the fall then.

And of course if you're not watching Archer....why are you not watching Archer!?!

I think Venture Bros. only works if you grew up watching shows like Scooby Doo, Johnny Quest, and G.I. Joe... but that's part of the charm: You WANT to see what your childhood icons were like when they stopped adventuring.

The "Scooby Doo" episode. Wow, it was amazing. Although you are right, it appeals to a niche audience MUCH more than the general. I mean, I barely caught the Bionic Man reference as it was just a tad before my time.

No, what made that refrence even better is that Steve Rogers actually fought a Sasquatch on the show once. The idea of them falling in love afterwards is what makes it REALLY funny.

To be honest, I didn't grow up on those shows, but I get the references. I mean, I think the Venture Bros. works because it's a Saturday Morning Cartoon set to jaded. And that's nice.

I never watched the 6 Million Dollar Man or Bionic Woman, because, y'know, they were 70s shows and I was born in the late 80s. But I still got the reference, because I have a friend who is actually named after the alien in that episode. Though her dad didn't know how to spell the name "Shalon", so she wound up "Shallyn".

Oh yeah. I haven't caught the most recent season, but I love it. The mini-series they did in between seasons was awesome.

But I love Venture Brothers because it really rewards people who have been watching the show since season one. A lot of the humor now just comes from this universe they created.

Also, I do an amazing 21 voice.

Hey while we're all here, did anyone else think the animation in the first Titmouse, Inc produced episode looked weird? Less fluid?

Man I thought there was going to be news or new clips in this thread geez.

Yeah thanks for getting my hopes up, BananaHands, you jerk.

Operation PROM was awesome. Venture Bros has actually gotten better every single episode. I know of no other show that has done that.
