I noticed

Different question: has anyone else been having issues with egg location? For example, I hatched an egg I got from Bhamv today, it lists UK, but no town...and trading it doesn't give any kilometers :(

I think that's due to gps issues when gift was acquired by the sender.

I’m seeing that same error on the post cards from those stops too.

I hadn’t tried to trade Pokémon hatched from the weird eggs yet though.

Finally caught this little green asshole:

Its stats aren't anything impressive, but I'm glad to be done. I still hate that this and Mew have to be caught in AR mode. Good thing they give unlimited Pokeballs, or I think I would have thrown my phone.

Neither of them have to. They just automatically turn it on for them.

I had a lot more trouble catching Celebi than I did Mew, I think I threw 100 balls at him, they seemed to go straight through.

The automatic entry into AR mode kept crashing the app. Then since the last mode the app used was AR, anything I tried to catch started in AR mode, and crashed the app. Solution: revoke camera permission for the app, then it goes to normal background, no problem catching.

3 shinnies for me, 4 for the missus.
I like the gen 8 preview thing (tiny lugnut thing) but since you can't catch them (they're all dittos), the nearby stays flooded with them, which is really annoying.IMG-20180922-WA0008.jpeg

Yup, Pokémon let's go is coming out on the switch soon, and these guys are a sort of preview of the new generation...but, like I said, they're all dittos.
They look pretty much like a grey ditto with an orange lugnut stapled to its head. There were a few during the community day, and for half an hour afterwards the whole place was flooded with them. Asia too, but if you didn't stay to the end you might've missed them.

I'm just a little annoyed that I walked 126km with Beldum/Metang as my buddy and now everybody will have one. Otoh, yeah, shiny Metagross is cool. But I spent 130 pinaps today and with my vacation coming up, I'll never have as many four Beldum, who's far more interesting. Sigh.

I'd probably be more annoyed if it was Bagon/Salamance, considering I caught 1 Bagon in the wild, and everything leading up to my Shelgon has been walking work. But at this point, I just want my Pokemon, man. However they get it to me, I'll deal.

Caught 2 shiny today with very little effort, and a Spinda. I generally find the shinies have crappier levels than the regulars, so I'm never too chuffed if I get them or not.

Finally managed to catch Celebi, thanks in part to the psychic event going on, which made it easy to complete the last stage of quests.

Also, Celebi was a bitch to hit with pokeballs.

I’m not impressed that the new hat Pikas were only out for two days especially as they had a shiny version. Two days isn’t enough to hunt a shiny that will never be available again.
