I once had constipation so bad, I had to solve it like a mathematician.

I had to work it out with a pencil.

My grandfather suffered from constipation in his later years. One day, while he was trying to expel his bowels, and my grandma was also in there (giving encouragement or advice, I dunno), my then-girlfriend-now-wife and I passed by outside the bathroom door, and we both heard my grandpa say to my grandma...

"Go get a spoon."

We sort of looked at each other and then tacitly decided to never bring this up ever again.
