Is that earlier than normal?
"Normal" for me, for the last 16 years or so, has been to wake up at 9 to be at work somewhere between 10 and 10:30.

Granted, that meant I was getting home somewhere around 7:30 pm.

But I am not a morning person.

Waking up at 7 am is for the biiiirrrrrrrds
Between a job at a bagel deli in college and having to commute into the city, I spent so many years having to get up between 5:30-6 am that I have reached the point where getting up between 7-7:15 is almost a luxury. And I am definitely not a morning person.

I am not a morning person either, but I do like that my kids get up by themselves early (I know that will change with age). I like that stores are empty in the morning, and the by the time the zoo gets crowded, we're already done.

I still stay up late, but my body hates sleeping more that 5 or 6 hours at a time now for some reason, so I wouldn't say I'm a morning person now, but I have a harder time sleeping in.

I can get up at any time and go to bed at any time rather easily SO LONG AS those times are consistent. But that never happens.
That said, 2a-10a is the sleep period I would choose, were I allowed.

You know what sucks?

Meeting a super cute, witty girl at work who you have great conversations with...

...and is also 19.

And I'm 500% on the "NOPE!" side of that (I learned that lesson once already), but it still sucks.

I'm a morning person and love being up at 5 AM, 6 AM ... but the downside is that I can't stay awake anywhere as late as anyone else. Like, 9 PM? That's when I start to doze.

The ideal existence is to neither need nor want sleep.

Possible bright side to previous post: I told one of my best friends about the girl, and how I'm just feeling lonely.

He...might have a single friend living in my area that might mesh well with me. But he's gonna talk to her about it.

(She's also 35, so a MUCH more appropriate age!)
