Obama should NOT. Nor should anyone from any religion, with the possible exception of maybe Martin Luthor King, Jr, but he'd be there for civil rights, not the religious angle.[DOUBLEPOST=1374698398][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'm confused with the first part of your post. Do you mean anyone who identifies with any religion, or someone who's there solely for religious purposes?

I think he's saying no people whose primary reason for being on there was because they were religious leaders I assume. MLK, despite being a religious leader is known more for his civil rights work (although he would call that religious as well, but potato potahto and all that). That seems reasonable to me, I mean, what religious leaders deserve to be on the money of a secular, multi-cultural country?

So, you're saying we shouldn't have Joseph Smith on our money. Well, maybe Utah if they do the individual state thing.

Honestly, I don't see any reason to move away from the folks we already have.

Could do it the old fashioned way: current head of state. You could consider the vote a vote to see who'll be on the bills for the next four years, maybe that'll interest people :p

And the same day that it is announced that the BoE is putting a woman (other than the Queen) on its banknotes, the woman who was campaigning for this suddenly starts getting abusive tweets - including rape threats.

Twitters response to this is to basically shrug their shoulders and say "Not our problem".

Luckily the cops reaction is "Rape threats? Let's go arrest that asshole".

Maybe the American system is better. :(
