[TV] Winter HAS COME! - A Game of Thrones

And I don't give a shit about the rest. I don't even remember most of those characters. Talk about how shitty Book 4 was.[DOUBLEPOST=1406596544,1406596512][/DOUBLEPOST]
Mmmm, Siddig...:unibrow:

I can't wait to see him next season.
I'm homo for Siddig.

The fact that most of them are barely in book 4 probably has more to do with it.
Doran Martell left a significant impression on me. That's all I remember. Happy real solid actor is playing him. Then the plethora of random sands whining about stuff for 1/2 the book is forgettable along with every boring character imaginable.

I hope they'll cross Book 4/5... I can't wait a season without the good stuff... well whatever little has happened. :)

All I'm saying is,

Only two of the Sands speak at all, both do so for a few pages in the same, single chapter, and then they're locked up and never heard from again for the rest of the book. I'm not surprised they didn't leave an impression.

I think we'll still have a season of Daenerys doing nothing.

Book 5
Her final scene in book 5 is a perfect season cliffhanger, so they're not going to jump ahead with that mid-season.

But hopefully other characters can move onward. Sansa's already ahead of the books.

Wow...Jonathon Pryce should make a very interesting High Sparrow.
Yeah, that should be good. Took me a minute to remember who the High Sparrow was, but now that I remember, good. Also glad that they're still doing that plotline; I wasn't sure they would since the showrunners seem to love Cersei so much.

I also like how the Sands look nothing alike to further emphasize that Oberyn got around.

Could be me, but...Shouldn't Myrcella be a *lot* younger? She's the younger sister of Joffrey, and the actress looks older than Joffrey did  Wasn't she supposedly 10 or 11? Ok, the show's aged a lot of characters, but she was younger than Sansa by a few years....

other than that, happy for the new group.

When does the series start anyways? Next spring?

FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

So... when it'll start... we'll still need to wait 2 more years before Book 6 is released?

Heh, you still think we're getting a book 6.
The odds are we will get a Book 6, at worst, we'll get MOST of a Book 6. The guy is likely to tough it out for a year or two.

It's the NEXT one I'm being realistic about. 9 years? Yeah, no.

However slowly, he is working on book 6. But book 7, I don't know.

Maybe he shouldn't try making each bigger than Feast and just tell the story as needs to be told. At this point, there shouldn't be filler crap chapters. With so much set-up having gone in books 4 and 5, we should be ready for things to happen.

Winter has come--it's time to let loose with all that entails.

You know that's not what is gonna happen.
If you were HBOs chief of boobs and someone told you:

"Well, most of these hot girls end up in prison not doing anything for the whole book"

I have a feeling you'd come up with a few ideas for the show. In fact I have a feeling those are about the only characters we'd even see anymore on the show. :p

Some sites hint at a 2016 release for Winds of Winter.

Which is about as useless as saying "We don't fucking know." Why do people think this is like a movie's shooting schedule? Writing a book isn't like making a movie. There aren't production hours to consider, site costs, catering. It's just somebody with a keyboard. It can take as little or as long as anything and no one will know when it's done until it is.

Somewhere, George RR Martin is growing stronger from your disappointment and tears. It's the secret of his longevity. Why do you think he keeps spacing the books out and getting prickly when people ask about his health?

Neil Gaiman challenged George RR Martin to the ice bucket challenge.

No. Stop giving him things to distract him. He'd probably try to do it on the set of the show, like ice falling from the Wall, and then he'd shout "Winter is coming!" and it would take him days to set all this up, and then when he'd get back to his keyboard, he'd go "Crap, all that ice bucket challenge stuff got me away from updating my blog."

He could just donate. It's not like he doesn't have the money.
The celebrities challenged have been doing both.

Looks like he took some time away from his blog to do it already.

I knew he was going to say that. He also needed someone who knew how to hold that kind of camera.[DOUBLEPOST=1408937167,1408936822][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh, and mentioning the Super Bowl, of course. The man knows how to be consistent.

Gwendolin Christie (Brienne) was on Craig Ferguson last night. She is such a giant cutie, and hilarious. She towered over Craig, he is 6'3". But she was wearing 5" heels.
