[TV] Winter HAS COME! - A Game of Thrones

Yeah Jay, no offense, but there was JUST a post in here about perhaps putting the new stuff behind spoilers, and while I'd have to go look I'm 100% sure YOU were the one whining about spoilers a while back. Now you're spoiling things for shows that haven't even aired yet? Classy move.

Well that's some major bullshit right there.

As for the episode did anybody else find it kind of bad? I mean I get that we have to check in with characters but I would have liked a little more plot happening rather than just. Daeny's got problems, Littlefinger is plotting and not telling anybody about it and Tyrion had to put poop through holes in a box.

Also I'm starting to think that the changes to the story are starting to really spoil the main book's planned arc. I mean just the shift in Tyrion's story cuts out 90% of Tyrion's story in books 4 and 5.

Tyrion's "story" in book 5 was a waste of space. As was most of book 5 really. [emoji14]
Also, in regards to above things posted,
When does that death happen? Certainly not in the 4 episodes that got leaked

You know, I care a WHOLE LOT LESS about deviations from the book starting with this season--because I didn't care all that much for book 4/5. HBO can do what they want for the most part now, they've earned my trust.

I liked parts of it. The part where Varys had smuggled out the Targareyn child and raised him up while at the same time working with others to keep Dany safe in order to use her to secure alliances and bring the Targaryns back into power was a nice reveal where we got a great look into Varys's planning and put a new player on the field one who could really shake up the game. Wasn't perfect but I enjoyed that part at least. The rest I'll agree was bleh but in books 4+5 I'll take whatever interesting bits I can find amongst those big piles of shit.
Overall I would not be surprised if they were able to blast through all all of book 5 as well considering how barren plot was outside of the Wall storyline.

Yeah, i mean who wants to meet the new contender to the throne in any detail. Or find out what Varys is actually up to.
I hate the way Martin threw people in during book 5. It was sloppy as fuck. I'm hoping if they do add them, they do it without making Tyrion wander aimlessly to find them.

My feelings are similar to this. I'm perfectly happy with HBO's writers diverging from GRRM at this point however much they want to.

Also, I watched all 4 leaked episodes last night and GAGH now I have to wait a whole month for more >_< Also they were leaked in SD, so mleh.

Well. Ok. Man. Sorry. I get REALLY worked up over spoilers in this show. For some reason I have had every major plot event spoiled for me by people that think it's funny to do that shit. Forget the audience though, it is so disrespectful to the artist to do something like that, basically destroying a large part of their work. I take such umbrage at people who find self-satisfaction in destruction, as it's usually simply an indication of their own underlying creative impotence.

Looks like they're skipping that whole sub-plot actually.

There are rumours that they might use Trystane instead, like they're using Elara instead of Arrianne.

Meanwhile, in an alternate dimension, where Ned Stark never died and went on to continue to be the hero of the show, vanquish the Lannisters, and stop the white walkers for another thousand years...

So, anyone else seen all the leaked episodes?

Because it looks like they killed off someone they shouldn't have...

If you watched the pirated (leaked) episodes, do NOT post about them in this thread. They are spoilers for both the show and the books.

Debateable that anything is a book spoiler at this point, since it may or may not follow the book's plan from here on, especially considering the amount of character merging. But yes, don't spoil ahead guys.

The Dany arc is starting to annoy me, especially the slave horde that follows in her wake like a plague of locusts. She freed them, and they rioted when she did something they didn't like. Ingrates.
