Working music

I could only stand 10 minutes of Gasbandit's preferred audio drug. What are your music selections when you need to focus on one thing?

On an unrelated note, to keep myself working at a steady pace on this instead of getting distracted and wandering off to do something else, I usually put on music. Lately, it's been the Kevin Macleod's "Pixel Peeker Polka." On repeat. FOREVER.

Video game music. Nothing specific, just in general. I listen to it for enjoyment, too, but for some reason a lot of it helps me hone in on the task at hand.

Usually Pandora.

Let's see if I can link these stations:
Crunch! (mostly motivational or cinematic in tone - Daft Punk/Audiomachine/The Glitch Mob/Clint Mansell)
Border Crossings (difficult to pigeonhole into any one category - Squirrel Nut Zippers/Weird Al/Calexico/Afro Celt Sound System)
Wide Lobes (ethereal/drone/new age - Art of Noise/Tangerine Dream/R. Carlos Nakai/Enya/Enigma)
Love Trip Protest (turn on tune in drop out - Strawberry Alarm Clock/Three Dog Night/Buffalo Springfield/The Byrds)
789 Supergroups (Restricted* Classic Rock - Chicago/Queen/Fleetwood Mac/Heart)
Light Instrumental (what's on the tin, usually jazz fusion but NO WORDS - Spyro Gyra/Acoustic Alchemy/David Lanz/Billy McLaughlin)

*All seeds MUST be "groups," no egotistical artist names, so no "Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers" nor "Bruce Springsteen" - the constraint made it turn out really well in my opinion. I want to start a "Frontman & The Lads" station for Tom Petty, Bob Seger, Smokey Robinson, etc. but haven't yet.

Podcasts I've already played. I generally find the rhythm of conversation relaxing, and since I've heard them before I don't feel the need to concentrate on what they're saying.

I listen to a popular morning radio show until 10, then switch over to Pandora. I listen to a variety of stations depending on my mood but they are usually like Breaking Benjamin, Volbeat, Enigma, etc. And yes, Ghost. But I think I'd like Thom's Wide Lobes or 789 Supergroups.

Lobby music is Sirius/XM Mellow Rock. Management prefers we do not change the channel.

I miss the On the Rocks channel. :(

Random music, but an unusual one is that I like the Comedy Icons station on Pandora. Five minute comedy clips that I can tune out when I need to concentrate and listen to when I need to clear my head.

Generally rock, with some Weird Al, 2Cellos, Manheim Steamroller, Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Disney music thrown in. People never know what they will hear from my radio.
