[PC Game] World of Warcraft: Catch All Thread

Brought a chunk of unsold auctions with me when I transferred my pally from Dark Iron to Wyrmrest Accord. Immediately sold a Pack of Endless Pockets for 300g. Better get moving on that monk so I can profit more from inscription there. :)
Profit... inscription... does not compute? Since they made inscriptions permanent, inscription is not a money maker. Even the weapons that we can make are BOP.

Yeah, comparing that to my leatherworker who can sell even minor armor pieces for anywhere from 1000-1500k... still pretty much sucks.

You can make great cash on the Inscription offhands, as they're not BoP/BoA like the staves. I sold the DPS fan for about 15k a month or so ago.

Same here, I'm just trying to get scrolls for the staff and because I'm dual specced I'm trying to get both the DPS staff and the healer staff. So, that's what, a total of 40+ scrolls that are on a day long cooldown to make... yeah, it's gonna be a while.

I stopped worrying about the staff since you can replace it in LFR anyway. Decided to put the scrolls towards fans and other things for selling.

Darn it! I had some goals I wanted to get done before patch day! Oh well, at the least the patch will make some of the goals slightly easier!

Some of us are chomping at the bit for the Lore/Storyline progress my friend :)
And some just want to get to the point where they can experience that content without pulling out all their hair.[DOUBLEPOST=1354003737][/DOUBLEPOST]Add to that the fact that CRZ has utterly destroyed the economies for gathering professions for lower pop realms. The fact that they have disabled working world events for this buggy feature, and that world rp events are now non existent because you never know what server you'll hit.
Yeah, I'd rather have them fix this shitty feature than to progress the storyline. That's just me though.

Grand Commendations. Yes. Want.

If I read it right, Not only will all my alts get double rep with MoP factions, but the primary toon will get double rep from revered to exalted. AND it carries over to other realms and the opposite faction without having to transfer servers.

You misunderstand. I wasn't disagreeing that CRZ is bad. They also have stated that they are working on it. They have different teams in house btw, not just one team working on everything. The storyline progress that's coming in 5.1 is in no way hindering the team that's working on CRZ to work better as CRZ isn't even enabled on Panderia.

I disagreed with your post that the ONLY thing worthwhile in the patch would be to get rid of CRZ. Care to explain why you were disagreeing with my post Frank ?

No, I understand. Just because CRZ isn't in Pandaria doesn't mean it's not there. The game shouldn't be focused solely on max level. They've already said they can turn it off for any area they want, when they want. Yet they keep it active even with all the bugs they've known about since it was in beta, so I doubt they're really working that hard on it.

Even if they fix some of the issues, the big ones will always be there. The AH will always be screwed up, unless they make cross realm AH's which will prolly screw it up even more. Player based world events will always be screwed up, because some will be phased into a different realm. The lag between zones will always be there, because you are basically switching servers every time you cross. They're fix for people exploiting the ability to shift between servers to win the fishing tourneys? Add more prizes.

Distracting us with new shinies won't make it go away.

They spent 80% of the previous expansion on the Low-Mid game. Panderia is and should be about the max level.

Again, I think CRZ should be worked on, but again, it's not the same team that's working on new content for Panderia.

I still don't have all the issues some people are having with CRZ, I feel so out of the loop in that regard.

I did post a few suggestions for Blizzard though to try and fix the problem, two of which should be simple.

First, they have to fix the "freeze" when moving between zones. That is the biggest issue I had.

Second, they need to get over the idea of "tagging". It worked well in the old days, and should still exist for things like loot, but it should be abolished for quests. I love how many of the quests in Pandaria allow you to get credit as long as you do damage at any point to the quest mob, so I have no idea why they don't spread this to older quests so that when I suddenly need to kill ten boars, I don't have to compete with five spawns with ten other players. We instead work together killing the mobs. Yes, we could group for the quest, but Blizzard for a long time has fostered the idea that "leveling = soloing", so many people just decline. Group questing shouldn't require making grouping, basically.

Third, nodes need to work like Archaeology. Instead of having set nodes that spawn for everyone, each spawn has a chance of spawning a node just for you that you can stumble across. The biggest downside people have with this idea is that is will "destroy" the economy since certain materials will become more saturated, and thus supply will overtake demand. I can understand the concern, but obviously Blizzard is not to worried considering Ghost Iron is so utterly saturated over Pandaria that I can't go 50 feet without tripping over five spawns. It's stupid that I can buy Ghost Iron, which is one of the highest ores in the game, for 10g a stack, but can't buy a stack of Fel Iron for less then 60g a stack. Either make the nodes individualized (but more rare) or increase all the old ore spawns to have the same spawn and saturation rate as Ghost Iron. Then we will have enough around that smaller servers won't have to worry about lack of materials.

I think if they do these changes, they can fix some of the bigger issues with CRZ that I see people complain about, which is slow questing due to player saturation and low materials due to high level farmers from other servers stealing away nodes.

It'll be interesting to see if they can get rid of the freeze you experience between zones. If they're switching you between servers each time you zone, I doubt they'll be able to do that. The reason it was seamless before is because one continent was always on one server. It's the reason people get dismounted on two person mounts too.

Getting rid of tagging will only help if you can still loot the quest item off of tagged mobs. The most frustrating quests are the ones that you have to collect items off of mobs, not the kill x of y. Especially when a 90 comes in and spams AOE's to tag everything.

You're lucky to even find a stack of fel iron on our servers AH. The AH has turned into a max level only play house. There is no way a new player or someone starting new on the server would be able to afford anything on it right now. Individualized nodes might work, but it kinda kills the competition part of it. Anything would be better than what it is now though.

I can't state enough my hatred of the CRZ. I think the only way it could be worse would be on a PvP server group. I can't fathom how frustrating it must be to level on a PvP server these days.

But for example, Nagrand. You need to kill ogres. Okay, I can deal with that. Got to the Burning ruins and there was a group of people power leveling from Cenarion Circle server. A 90 was AoE everything and the lowbies were following them. When the ogres started to respawn a different group came in and did the same thing. It's turned me into quite the asshole. Stand in spot A where bad guy respawns and spam whirlwind until he appears and I can fucking leave.

Then there's the resources. Ghost iron is the exception because there's so much of it. But fel iron? Are you kidding me? Good luck.

And it's that way EVERYWHERE! EVERY zone is like a starting zone and it fucking sucks.

That is how the Pandaria multi-person tagging works for certain dailies. As long as you attack the creature at some point before it dies, you can get kill credit and/or loot the quest item if one exists. Quest items are not one per-person.

Some quests don't have mutli-tagging, like that stupid Tillers goatsteak quest. That one more then any needs multi-tagging.

What competition though? Maybe if this was an older expansion, but herbs and ore is so saturated in Pandaria that I for the first time in a long time have felt zero competition on my resources. Every now and then I might run into a guy farming iron that takes a node five seconds before I reach it, but then I fly another 20 feet and another node is already there for me to take.

It's downright stupid that older sections of crafts are HARDER to level due to such low spawn rates on nodes (Fel Iron being one of the worst), and lack of any multi-skillup crafts like the ones introduced in Cataclysm. It cost me thousands just to get past WOTLK levels in Blacksmithing, then leveled through Pandaria levels for barely anything.

Why when you can grow tons of motes in your farm or just get tons of them through regular daily quests (through killing)? I have 60 Spirits and nothing to spend them on :(

Farming is the best way to get Motes. I wouldn't waste my Conquest on them.

Actually, Blizzard needs to adjust some of the farming totals. Right now it's way better to just plant the MoH over the regular crafting seeds, just because you can then take that SoH you make and use it to purchase MORE of those crafting items from the SoH vendor then you would have gotten from the farm.

I have a lot of motes on my Rogue but my War hardly seems to get any. What's funny is that the Rogue has something to spend them on while my War really doesn't. So it's not a big deal.

Still, if you can get the warrior setup on the Tillers farm, you can have a steady stream of motes coming in. Just spend 3 minutes planting a day.

It's going to be a lot easier too to get a whole farm unlocked on alts once the patch hits, due to the double reputation token.

Looks like they changed all server events and daily resets to a Pacific time to prevent fishing tourney cheating and to fix the day/night jumps from crz. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/7200062357

It would be nice if they had put it in central or mountain instead, to make the effect on east coast a little less noticeable. They should also just get rid of server times on the in game clock, and replace it with pacific, if that's going to be the default time now.

I think it's a good change, and makes CRZ a bit more bearable. These were just small issues with CRZ though.

Also sounds like they did a huge nerf to the amount of nodes that spawn in pandaria. I'm glad I held onto my herbs, but wish I had bought more ghost iron bars to transmute.

Did they? Was this a hotfix? Because last night I was still tripping over nodes.

I can't say for sure, I'm just going by what people are saying on the forum so who knows. There seems to be a lot of undocumented changes, including the time zone changes. They didn't admit to that until the blue post I put up. So I wouldn't put it past them. It's kind of frustrating when they don't include these changes in patch notes.

It could be that no one was farming, but I just didn't notice a change in node saturation. It's still not like the old days where I could travel the length of Icecrown going to the AT and not see a single Saronite node.

Actually one thing I did notice was an INCREASE in a certain node, fishing pools. Before you would see one now and then, usually spread out over a zone. Last night though I would see CLUMPS of octopus and redbelly pools in Krasarang, like four or five all next to eachother.

I noticed I wasn't tripping over green tea last night, but I had thought it was because I started questing in a new zone.

Also they removed the notice that said how many bosses were down when your queue popped up in LFR. Apparently too many people were dropping after a couple bosses and no one wanted to enter a partial raid.

Very glad they did that. You had a lot of people that either got pissed it was not a full run and dropped (because they didn't kill anything and wanted the most loot chances) , or those that got pissed it was a full run and dropped (because they had to drop right before the last boss and so they don't want to fight a bunch of other bosses just to get to the last one again). Now they enter and if they get pissed and want to leave they have to deal with the 15 minute debuff, so they are less likely to hit exit queue.

To be honest, Blizzard would fix a lot of the issues they are having if they used an old idea I came up with before LFR was even a "thing". Don't utilize the LFR raids like the full dungeons of the Normal/Heroic versions. You want to kill Tsulong? Queue for Tsulong. You want to kill Sha of Fear? Queue for Sha of Fear. It basically treats every boss like an Onyxia-style fight, teleporting you into the boss room to fight just the boss. You can only fight each boss once for loot as normal, but you can better choose the ones you fight and in what order. Want the random Valor? Queue for a random boss fight.

I know this breaks the story flow a bit, but it would go a long way for convenience in LFR.
