[PC Game] World of Warcraft: Catch All Thread

Combo Breaker is your Mastery now, as opposed to a passive of WW. As for bugged, I dunno as I haven't played my Monk in a month or so. He's using a staff at the moment and as of the last time I played him CB was working.

A neat little easter egg was discovered for rogues only a few days ago.

First, you need to equip both the Glyph of Detection and the Glyph of Disguise. Then head to Ravenholdt Manor in the Hillsbrad Foothills. Once there, you can find a ghost named Reislek up on a hillside. You have to pick pocket him to steal his form using the Glyph of Disguise, then head into the basement of the manor. Once there you will see a spark in the corner, which means you can now cast "Detection" to see what the sparks represents, in this case another ghost named Orsur.

If you are not disguised, he will mention you are the wrong person and won't do anything, but if you are disguised as Reislek and say you are his master, he will hand you a special item called the Survivor's Bag of Coins.

What is cool about the bag? Well once you have it, you can pick pocket coins off enemies. You can then use the bag to throw these coins giving you a hard push the opposite direction. It only works outside, in flyable areas, and out of combat, but I can imagine much fun to be had zipping around the landscape. Here is a video of the bag in action.

It used to be a mastery, it was changed into a passive. My monk is only level 60, and it's active, but only when I'm using fist weapons or glyph of jab.

I was going to mention this before, but forgot due to my bug devouring my body, but Blizzard hinted on the forums that 5.3 will also carry a 85-90 XP nerf.

Word on the street is that soon we'll have 5.3 upon us, which means the most recent expansion is most likely halfway through its lifespan before another expansion hits. Considering that MoP has been out for over half a year now, I believe it would be a good time for the devs to tune down the xp required to get from 85-90, especially the 88-90 grind.

Blizzard: To the OP, all I can say is keep an eye out for the next 5.3 PTR patch note update.

XP requirement just became official. 33% decrease for all levels between 85 and 90. If you are already leveling don't worry, it's going to work like when they did the decrease for 80-85, in that you will keep the total amount of experience you earned for the level, but the cap to reach the next level will change.

Also, in 5.3 they're removing the gate in front of Shado-Pan and Celestial dailies, meaning you don't need Golden Lotus to get to them.

Also also, tomorrow they're patching in 50 Lesser charms per turn-in for Mogu charms as opposed to the current 90.

When does this take effect? Tomorrow or 5.3?

Cool! Is it bad that I want to start another alt?
As a person that over the years have put over 20 character to 80+, nope, not at all.

MoP has been brutal to my alt-ing, but that is because after the first play through I care more about efficiency rather then sight seeing, and the nature of the leveling process makes me grow bored very quickly unless I hit milestones faster. This is why Cataclysm also hurt my max level alt-ing, as I hate the way they handled 5 level cap ramping by making each level take so much longer then the last one. MoP is similar, though not as bad (it's the lack of being able to fly that is killing my alting for the most part in MoP).

Either way, I still plan to level up my orc warlock in 5.3 so I can start experiencing more of the Horde side of the game. I used to play Horde so much it's kind of weird barely seeing their side of the story anymore.

I'm working on my alliance hunter now for the same reason. I'd like to see their side of the story.

I have a DK at 85 but just don't have it in me to do another 85-90 run.

Hopefully they add flying in pandaria too. With the XP nerf we're going to be able to level through it by going through maybe 2 zones. We're going to be skipping a ton of content as it is. Saying we'll be missing out on the leveling experience won't really cut it anymore.

To be honest I am surprised how long they have held onto the "No flying" rule this expansion. I understand that Cataclysm allowing flight right out the gate soured a lot of people, which in turn soured a lot of people at Blizzard, but I think the system in WOTLK with the book of Cold Weather Flying was perfect. Why not go back to that system? It's weird they are so hell bent on forcing everyone on alts to ride around on the ground.

I think at this point everyone's seen most/all of what MoP has to offer in terms of scenery, there's no reason to block flying past like 86 at this point.

I logged out before going out to dinner with my husband and friends but didn't quit game. The kitten somehow must have logged me back in. I got home and there my baby shaman was in the Exodar.

All the Rep buffs are insane. I have a fresh 90. Did one round of dailies, a scenario with buff and an instance with buff and I'm instantly Revered.

I took some time off from my 90s recently and returned to my hunter last night and did some LFRs. 6/6 loot bags, no drops. Needing only 50 thingies a week for the extra rolls is nice though.

You should try reading some of the source material that Blizzard has constantly "borrowed" for that Warcraft lore. Broaden your horizons a bit.

THIS IS NOT AN INSULT FOR LIKING WARCRAFT LORE (just to clarify) OR INSINUATING YOU ONLY READ WARCRAFT LORE STUFF.

Just a bit of prodding to folk to check out the world of fantasy and sci-fi that isn't bound to video game properties.

That's no secret. The Old Gods are pretty much direct rip offs of Lovecraft. It's what they do. That doesn't make it any less fun to be a part of these characters story lines.

I think most of the people here don't need a whole lot of prodding. I think it's pretty safe to say most have done more than dipped their toes in sci-fi and fantasy books.

If Neogaf (or the internet in general) has taught me anything, it's that there's a terrible amount of people who've only read Warcraft novels or Halo books and such and it makes me sad.

I'd believe you weren't being a tad bit condescending if you didn't add the -broaden your horizons a bit- and then not even give some recommendations of these -borrowed- sources.

Besides, I enjoy the Warcraft lore and have since it's inception. I've enjoyed the games, the novels, the characters, etc. Not because of what similarities they have to other stories/characters (what doesn't?) but for what it is. Is this ALL I've ever read? Of course not. I've been a Fantasy/Sci Fi lover since I was 8 when I first read the Hobbit. I've read alot of fantasy and sci-fi since then. However alot of these properties don't blend novels, games, and immersion the way Warcraft does. I can read a story in a novel, then interact with the characters in the game. Then I can see how their story unfolds as the game progresses and in more detail in later novels released in conjunction with the expansions etc. It's a living, breathing storyline that doesn't end with a few books.

I know it came off that way but it isn't what I meant, which is why I added that other bit. It came off as me being a condescending dick, but I wasn't trying to pick a fight.
