[Question] How does one "Ask one out"?

Welp... figured I should follow up with this thread. Her response was "I don't know." I was prepared for a yes or a no, maybe even a "maybe, under X condition." Just wasn't expecting an "I don't know." All I could do was give her my contact information in case she decides yes, but the ball is firmly in her court now. I'm guessing I should just assume it's a "no" until proven otherwise.
