Dude, my Win98SE machine has 512MB RAM.Firefox requires 512MB of RAM for a WinXP computer. If you can't give me at least that much to work with, I can't keep supporting your legacy computer.
There's this addon called memoryfox that I've found really helps with that. But yeah, there's plainly a memory leak and the addon can only do so much.I wish Fire Fox would quit using 3 out of my 4 gigs of memory on my home computer.
Looks like an issue that has plagued many, many Firefox users throughout the course of its lifetime. We'd need to know more about your computer setup, browser version, any error messages, crash handler logs, etc. before we could really be of help. (because all of those details help refine Google search strings).About Firefox, I'm pretty sure this is just me but whenever I first open it when turning on my computer it shuts itself off. Does that happen to anyone else? Should I call a guy?
On a good night, I can go THREE hours of sleep! The "How much sleep didn't you get game!" The game where no matter who wins, we all lose.4.5 hours of sleep is bullshit, but I got sucked into reading the archives of channelate last night and went to bed 2 hours later than I'd planned.
Yeah, but it's memory usage in the task manager can drop by an entire GB if I've been browsing Google Reader long enough. It may be able to re-open that tab, but it doesn't keep everything it was caching in RAM.It doesn't let go of all that memory. Right click on a tab and you will find you can undo your close tab - and it has a complete history, etc.
So tend to go the holidays, unfortunately.I'm feeling super low lately, and (with one exception) my friends are nowhere to be seen. It makes me feel isolated and more alone, and it makes me wonder how many of them even give a shit.
This is basically every friendship I've ever had.I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make anyone feel bad. The problem isn't that they don't initiate calls often enough. I'm just tired of being the one to put forth all the effort with most of my friends. I often feel like I care more about them than they care about me. I'm the one who shows up when someone is moving and needs help with their heavy furniture up two flights of stairs. I'm the one who will drop everything and meet up for coffee if they're upset about something and want to talk. I'm the one who invites people to come along to a concert or event when I have an extra ticket. I'm the one who travels to them when they want to make dinner plans, even if it means a 30-60 minute drive, every time. The situation now, when I'm calling/texting them and they can't be bothered to respond, is just the last straw.
I make a serious effort to be loyal, considerate, and reliable with my friends and family. And no one ever returns the favor amongst my friends.
I'm sorry you're getting taken for granted like that. It happens to a lot of good people, unfortunately.I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make anyone feel bad. Well, along that line I've been having thoughts about leaving China in a year or two and going into Medical school. Since it's been a few years, I've been going over High school Math and Chemistry to catch up through online lectures. Man, do I have a ways to go.Took my college entrance exams. Aced everything except math, so the only classes I'll need to take to catch up are Introduction into College Math and such. Still a pain in the ass...
...because they know you'll understand. If you can take it, that's great. Few people are built like you. Otherwise, they may need a little time away from you to realize. Taper, but don't abandon, and you'll probably find out whether they were just saturated or whether things are truly going in a new direction.I'm sorry you're getting taken for granted like that. It happens to a lot of good people, unfortunately.
How big a rock? I AM INTRIGUED!Owwwww! Why is there a fucking rock in my bed?!
I think you answered your question.Owwwww! Why is there a fucking-rock in my bed?!
... and that's how golems are made.
Depends on your eye doctor Yosh. We can get glasses and contacts cheaper there than at many of chain stores, and usually cheaper than 1800contacts. (depends on which family member is shopping, my wife's contacts are usually cheaper on 1800, mine at eye doctor)Not sure if this counts as a rant, but I feel like complaining about it so why not. DO NOT BUY GLASSES AT THE EYE DOCTORS! They over-charge like a mother-fucker. Buy them at a store, like Foreyes or maybe a lesser known store, whatevs baby.
But can we get cheap, knock-off Lasik?Lasik for the MF'in WIN.
