Forgive me, I had way too much fun with this:
Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done (Until the sequel, anyway)
Lay your weary head to rest (at an Inn, a portable house, a space-ship, wherever)
Don't you cry no more (only one or your friends really dies, there are so many fake-outs in this game.)
Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion (Turn up the contrast to see hidden paths!)
I was soaring ever higher
But I flew too high (Lot o' flying in this game, and abuse of superior air power.)
Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man (Dammnit, use some eye drops already!)
Though my mind could think I still was a mad man (That can be a useful condition, you can do 1.5x damage!)
I hear the voices when I'm dreaming
I can hear them say ("One born from the mouth of a dragon...")
Masquerading as a man with a reason (Yeah, because a musician has much more purpose than royalty.)
My charade is the event of the season (Bah, you were much more useful in your encore performance, well after your real identity came out.)
And if I claim to be a wise man, well
It surely means that I don't know (Until a mysterious light restores your memory, but knowing won't let you actually do anything until it's too late.)
On a stormy sea of moving emotion
Tossed about I'm like a ship on the ocean
I set a course for winds of fortune
But I hear the voices say (Come down here now, young lady, you've been neglecting your studies long enough. So help me, I will sink that ship and your little hooligan friends too.)
Carry on, you will always remember (But your karate kicking amnesiac friend won't)
Carry on, nothing equals the splendor (Damn moon people, thinking they're all superior)
The center lights around your vanity (Travel the path to the core and the self-centered jackass who is behind all this!)
But surely heaven waits for you (Nope, just kidding, "heaven" is bugging out as soon as you fix all our problems for us.)
