one more disk of maid team and it is taking a dark dramatic turn which is kind of neat. I will probably watch the last disc after work today. I am not sure what to watch next in my pile after that, I might have to make a list of stuff and put it to a vote.

If you like old school mecha, Armored Troopers VOTOMs is a classic and well regarded for it's realistic takes of mecha. Visually it's not too impressive (it looks like the original GUNDAM series), but it has a decent plot and interesting art design.
I enjoyed Index, but don't watch the dub. The voices don't fit at all. It's one of the laziest dubs I've ever heard.
You said that when I posted about fixing the boxset box too, I watched the first disc before I started on my road to mad getting my capstone written up.
Now I HAVE to watch it dubbed.

Out of those I've only seen Shana s2, Geass R2 and Index. Of those three, I'd go Index, though Geass R2 isn't bad either. I watched Shana s2 out of obligation from the first season, but didn't really get into it.
Watching Robotic;Notes.It is pretty good with an interesting story and solid characters.
So Inuyasha was the first anime I ever watched and for years I enjoyed as each new episode came out but was really disappointed with its not really an ending end. A week or two ago I found out that some more were made called the Final Act.
I watched the first 2 episodes and they were so bad I don't think I can bear to watch anymore. I know Inuyasha had its bad episodes too so is this just a rough start for them getting back into the show or indicative of its overall quality.

That was a show that just went on WAY too long. Also this may sound picky of me, but Inuyasha's move-set was so bland. Downward slash, downward slash, bla bla bla.
Mr. Wasabi and I love making fun of Inuyasha by yelling, "INUYASHA! KAGOME! INUYASHA! KAGOME!" because of the few times we watched it that seemed like most of the dialogue.
Aw, I wanna review Inuyasha! This show has a part in the dark nether-realms of my soul that fill me with anger, and annoyance, and WHY THE FUCK DON'T THEY JUST SHUT UP AND FUCK ALL-READY! I mean Jesus christ, I fucking hate will-they/won't-theys like this. They are over played out, and a completely outdated plot device in any media.

Solid. I'm thinking I'll do Shuffle first, that show as well as all harem shows need to be torn a new one.

Yeah Inuyasha was one of those shows that I never knew why I enjoyed watching it. It was just so different from anything else I'd ever watched that I couldn't turn away. The will they/ won't they thing never got to me because it was so obvious that they would. I figured when they get all the jewel shards and inuyasha turns completely human that that would be when it happened. Naraku dead, inuyasha human, kiss, the end. That's how I will pretend it ends because I can't watch the final act anymore.
Shuffle ends with one girl, though, so it's not a traditional harem (not that it's a great series anyway, it's mediocre at best). A real harem would be any Tenchi show, among others, and outside of GXP and Tenchi in Tokyo I find the Tenchi universe to contain nothing but good shows. There's no canonical winner in any series except maybe GXP,
though I think every girl marries him at the end.
Oh right, I forgot about that one. I know it's kind of a parody thing but I've never been into the magical girl genre. I tried one of the recent Precure shows and it just wasn't for me.[DOUBLEPOST=1361235222][/DOUBLEPOST]Honestly the only thing about harem shows that bothers me is they never really end. Yeah there's a last episode, but there's no closure most times. Thankfully I've learned to just watch them for humor and not for plot.
Okay I'll admit to liking the Tenchi shows to a certain degree, but they are a somewhat exception. Mostly Tenchi Universe, that one was the best.
Back to Shuffle though, what bugs me the most is that its based in a world where gods and demons exist...and its a high school harem comedy. So....so much missed potential.
The other problem is most harems and the like are based off of VNs, and if a bad writer/studio gets ahold of them all sorts of things can go wrong. From what I hear Shuffle's VN is pretty good, but the anime didn't really measure up.
Yeah, and you have to screw up pretty bad to make a bad adaptation of an erotic video game.
if you are going to do a harem, you have to do it right, tenchi masaki typifies the best kind of male lead, he is not overtly interested in the girls, but being a young man he doesnt shy away from catching them naked from time to time, in addition he has a strong ethical code and moral compass. When they are in danger from Kagato, and he gloats that he make these women watch as he slowly tortures and drains the life from him, so why would he still fight on despite knowing it is his doom from a superior strong opponent? He answers that he would rather die, than forsake any of these women. I think that's how it should be, all the women in the show want to a piece of him because he is everything life tells us a man should be not just because he is a piece of meat to them.
War on Geminar, which is another in the Tenchi universe, is also awesome. It's 12 hour-long episodes and the show obviously had a great budget, as the animation is pretty solid throughout. As far as harems go I think it's my favorite.
Now with Tenchi, I actually get why the girls would like him. On the outside he's a clutzy scatter-brain, but deep down he is an honorable man.

I changed it to clutzy scatterbrain, I could only think of like ONE instance when he showed a physical interest in the girls.
Since we are on the topic of the show, does anyone else feel the first series ended too soon? I was confused as all fuck when they made a new series.
