Games on SALE!

New batch of games out for STEAM sale.

Couldn't pay me to play the Daily Deal (Dead Island: Riptide)
Thought of picking up Arkham City but it's still over $5 so I picked up Evoland instead.

Yeah, so far my wishlist has been aggravatingly sale-free (or not discounted enough). But there's still 6 days left on the sale, and last year the last day was when I snagged something I really wanted, so I'm holding out.

I'm going to pick up Riptide eventually but it's STILL not low enough. It needs to hit at least $10.

Good Deals for today...

- Mount and Blade: Fire and Sword is a daily deal, but the whole Mount and Blade collection is discounted for the same price. $7.50 is a good deal for hundreds of hours of gameplay.

- Dark Souls: Prepare to Die edition is also about $7.50. Again, lots of gameplay for a cheap price.

- Left 4 Dead 2 is $5 on the flash deals.

BTW, are we all going to trade cards around to see if anyone wants/needs a certain card? I have a double of Chivalry and need Dead Island, Prison Architect, Reus, and Skyrim.

So, the postcards next to the daily deal, the ones stacked on top of each other, are actually seperate images. If you drag the image into a web-browser, you can see the next daily deal, which in this case will be Torchlight.

Gunpoint ran at a super low framerate for me when it first came out and I haven't tried it since.

Saints Row 3: The Full Package is 7.50 now for those of you who were on the fence when it was 15.

Still haven't really seen a single game I want that I don't already own, or isn't being discounted enough. I mean, yes, I want to play Mount and Blade, and Skyrim, and so on, but I already own way too much games I haven't played to add any new ones unless they're $5 and under, or in SKyrim's case, at least 66% off. And my wishlist simply serves as a "does not go on sale" list, apparently. Oh well, cheap sale season so far.

I feel that the specials this years have been... average. It was a regular thing seeing 75% even a few 90%... but this year has WAY too many 50% even 40%.

Just a quick note on the current sales. "Infestation" is currently on sale. This is the new name of "The War Z," a game that was so terrible and broken (and in some parts, plagiarized) that it was taken off of Steam.

Just for some background information: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/06/20/the-war-z-changes-its-name-if-not-its-ways/#more-157060

Quote from the article:

The War Z has previously been spotted borrowing images from other games, stating completely bogus stats about the size of the game, listing features on Steam the game didn’t include, and nicking their terms of service from League Of Legends. When I played The War Z last December, I discovered it to be an absolutely abysmal game with almost no redeemable features.

But of course that was some old game called The War Z, not this new-fangled Infestation: Survivor Stories! Can’t wait to give it a go!

That garbage just won't go away and they keep getting put front and center over and over again.

Someone at that shitty company must have compromising pictures of Gabe Newell or something.

Do I have to pay you back? :p

Eh, €3.... Donate it to Dave or something :p But I don't know if I'll be able to gift it right away (I already bought it for you now :p), don't have the Steam client installed on this pc and my girlfriend grumbles if I install stuff on her laptop...

Oh, and you'll have to add me on your Steam friends list, too :)

Holy shit I was kidding.

I'll try to find you a game too. :)[DOUBLEPOST=1374200389][/DOUBLEPOST]What's your Steam name?

"No group or player records were found matching your search terms."

So it's not Bubble181.

Suds123? Detergent420? Shampoo666?

I'm either Bhamv or Bhamv3 on there, if you want to try adding me.

It actually is Bubble181, but sometimes it glitches and won't find it if you search with or without the capital B. Don't ask me why.

And don't buy me another game - the whole point was saving some money, not using more of it ;) If you end up with an extra free copy of a game sometime, feel free to throw it my way ;)

Hmm, Prototype and Prototype 2 on flash sale.

Worth getting? I loved other open-world games like Saints Row 3, Just Cause 2, Arkham City etc.

Thing is, Prototype 2 is $12 (66% off), and that doesn't conform to my steam sale rule. (75% or $10, which ever comes first).

Man, that 2 dollars is really a deal breaker for me. Heh.

All right, got them both. It's probably going to be a while before I can play them though. I have a serious backlog.

Thanks fellas.

If I'm not gonna get Prototype 2 for being $2 over 10, I'm sure as heck not going to get Skyrim for being $20 over what would be 75%. I can wait for another 6 or 12 months to see if it comes down, if I have to.

Meanwhile, anybody ever try Fable 3's Co-op? It's on a flash sale for the next 5 hours, and I'm curious for first-hand accounts. I've heard both that it's great and it's disappointing from various sources.

It's fun, but it's not as in-depth as you'd want it to be.

Fable 3 was the worst of the bunch imo.

Anyone play Monaco? And is Baulder's Gate worth getting? I know that's probably a sacrilage to ask but I've never played it.
