Actually I don't like most condiments. I can't stand Mayo, mustard only in a recipe, ketchup on fries occasionally (gotta be the right kinda fries, whole different conversation), bbq sauce for fries usually, but not slathering amounts on bbq. I don't eat any salad dressings, I like sauces to be sparingly used. I've just always like to actually taste my food, not just something that is added afterwards.

My wife, on the other hand, loves to add all types of condiments, and is really happy when she has several to use.

Not really, I'm more of a Mustard/Ketchup guy than Mayo.

I don't think I'd put Mayo on anything by choice.
I'm more of a ketchup guy too, but what I do is add a bit of sriracha to my mayo and then mix it up before I serve it. It takes away some of the heat of the sriracha but the flavor of the peppers really compliments the mayo and makes it much more tolerable.

If it's a burger, I find I actually prefer it dry - no mustard, mayo or ketchup. I got tired of burgers that only tasted like whatever sauce they had on them, and with the sauces gone, I find I enjoy the taste of the meat and toppings better.

I like mayo, but on the right sandwich. BLT:Mayo. Burger: ketchup/plain. Course I only use ketchup during the winter when I don't have tomatoes, as ketchup is just tomato substitute and all.

Well, it's not like the sandwich ends up all mayo creamy. The oil in the mayo renders like butter and fries the bread in the pan, while the egg and spices in the mayo create an almost french toast coating on it. It's a bit trickier to cook because it cooks more slowly than butter grilled cheese but burns much faster.

Yeah you're right. I had a brain fart. I really meant the prince of tides, but beach music came to mind and got mutated to beaches.
