Games on SALE!

Bioshock Infinite, Dishonored, Saints Row 4, as well as Euro Truck Simulator 2, Surgeon Simulator, and Counter Strike Global Offensive. Today is a good day.

Oh, and CoD Ghosts is 17% off, ha ha. Stop it, you're embarrassing yourself.

Normally I'd be jumping all over Bioshock, Dishonored, and SR4, but having just bought Skyrim, I feel like I can afford to wait another year, after which these games will almost certainly be cheaper.

That kind of pisses me off. Dishonored is on sale, the Game of the Year edition is on sale, the DLC is barely on sale. I own the normal game. It's cheaper for me to buy the fuckin' GOTY than it is to buy the DLC. That's fucking stupid.

You know what's great about Steam and GoG sales? Gifting to friends. A friend of mine just gave me a copy of Game Dev Story because it was on my wishlist. Me and another friend of mine - an old friend - gift stuff to each other every Christmas. :D

I liked the demo but enough enough to buy it (it was too short), so I TBB'd it.

Found it interesting, then got boring real fast. My major issue was that the formulas to make a game a success or flop too rigid. I checked forums, got my answers and the answers were static, meaning EVERY TIME you played the game, the same formulas applied and if you didn't want to fail you needed to play similarly the same way.

I was glad I TBB'd it.

So, previously Jay has said that he only pirates games to find out if he likes them or not, and then buys them later if he does.

Now we learn that he just likes free games.

*yawn*

I buy my fair share of games and I probably support more KS projects than anyone here

Old subject is old.

If you want to pirate games, that's fine. I pirate stuff too. I'm just ok with the fact that it's wrong, and don't try to justify it.

Ni No Kuni is 14.99 on amazon today which is a hell of a price for that game. Apparently, it's cheaper as a digital download if have plus on the psn right now as well.

For a limited time, Nintendo eshop cards are 20% off at Best Buy. Buying a $20 card? $16. Buying a $50 cad? Costs $40. If you're going to be buying any digital Nintendo games next year for 3ds or Wii U, this is pretty much free money.

Shadowrun Returns released on GOG.com at $11.99 for the first 48 hours. That's cheaper than it was during the Steam holiday sales and without DRM, so anyone interested, pick it up. It's good, in case you were wondering.

Cities in Motion 2, Orcs Must Die GOTY, and Sanctum: Collection were added to the bundle, in addition to the original collection of Natural Selection 2, Sanctum 2, Magicka, Orcs Must Die 2, Garry's Mod, and Serious Sam 3: BFE.

This is actually a pretty tempting bundle for me, at $4.20 at time of writing, but I'm finding it hard to justify spending more money on games to myself (and my wife!) after having just bought Skyrim.

If she has any video game inclinations at all, the two of you need to try co-op Orcs Must Die 2.

I figured it was worth throwing $5 at. CiM I've wanted to try for a while, and I've heard lots of good stuff about both Magicka and OMD 1&2. Of course, those arem ostly multiplayer/co-op stuff, which I don't do, but still.

They stated on facebook that this give-away more than quadrupled their highest-ever server usage - which was also a free give-away. They've doubled and redoubled their server capacity to deal. WHich is more than you can say for EA :p

Which, coincidentally, also sounds like his prom night.
Man, I just got out of bed and this is what I wake up? Screw you guys. Screw all you guys.

...wait. Aw shit.

*sigh*

Sounds like my prom night.

(Heh, but seriously, I got a good chuckle out of the double-prom night jokes. Good way to wake up. :))
