You know, I can appreciate the humor and writing behind Lunar Baboon. But I just can't get past the fact that the way the guy draws his wife makes it look like he married someone his mother's age.

Huh...Shortpacked is ending in a year. It makes sense, I mean Ethan,Amber, AND Mike all ready left and I'd be lying if I said my interest wasn't waning. HOWEVER- it is a good time to end it I guess.

He's already got Dumbing of Age going with alternate interpretations of all his characters, so it's not like he's going to stop doing stuff. I really, REALLY hope we don't see a repeat of what happened to Ruth in Roomies!.

It's weird. I have a lot of extra time while I'm in training*, so I recently re-read everything Willis. Started DoA a couple days ago and finished it yesterday, and then he made this reveal. I feel like I picked a good time to start. I had never read it before but it's good to see Joyce and Joe and the gang again. :)

*I've also reread the entire archives of Achewood, Bobwhite, and Order of the Stick during training.

Dumbing of Ages is great, my only criticism isn't so much a criticism as much that I really really really really REALLY want to see Walky and the gang fighting aliens ,robots, and the cheese again(Or a simulacrum cos he's dead-WHATEVS). "But that wouldn't fit with this story"- I KNOW THAT VOICE OF REASON, but my inner teenager wants to see Semme in action!

Fleh, reading an actual GOOD dramedy for a change is fine too. Unlike a certain webcomic about a certain psychic character that I will not mention by name because it sucks.

Edit: Okay one actual criticism, its really frustrating that they don't know who Amazigirl is. I know, its a joke on secret identities in general but COME ON! HOWEVER its still that classic Willis style frustrating that's still readable.

Also I wanna punch Dumbiverse Walky in the face. I feel I'm gonna have to wait LONGER for him to turn into the cool character he was in "It's Walky!" Is it me, or does he feel even MORE childish than the original Walky? AND HE'S IN FREAKIN' COLLEGE!

He made develop into a different character entirely. None of the pressures and responsibilities from It's Walky are upon him in DoA.

As for more aliens and such, we had seven years of Roomies/It's Walky, and then several more of Joyce and Walky. There's no reason to dredge it up and repeat it. Didn't know Shortpacked was ending--I guess that will wrap it up for that universe.

Fair point, different variables lead to a different Walky.

And yeah I know there's no point with bringing the aliens back, and if Willis did put it in it'd be really forced...but the want is still there.

So, does anyone here read Least I Could Do? If so, does anyone else think that its been unbearably preachy these last few weeks? Its not just me, right?

Hey now, someone has a Message to get out.
I don't mind if someone uses their platform as a vehicle to promote things they value, so long as the original is not subsumed.
(e.g., Johnny Hart and B. C.)

Gunnerkrigg's getting interesting again. They're in the realm of the dead, and I just figured out that the entire thing is being "told" from Kat's perspective, so everything looks like cheap posterboard halloween decorations in cramped, cheesy neon rooms and hallways - and not scary or spiritual in the least. And she was the only one who could see the Librarian of the Dead before he spoke (Mort the Ghost and Annie apparently could not).

And every strip since they entered the ROTD, Annie's hair has been getting a little pinker and a little pinker.

I love how-
Kat is clearly interpreting this vast unimaginable realm of ethereal knowledge as a simple low-budget library. Awesome.

I love this comic beause one: Little J'onn is adorable, and two I like the thought of Green Lanterns being this worlds versions of boy scouts.

VG Cats #317[DOUBLEPOST=1392648743,1392648651][/DOUBLEPOST]Is the forum resizing uploaded images or something? Because that image is not it's original size, and I don't mean just being shrunk for display on the page, the image itself is fewer pixels.
