TV Shows you hate

What are some of them you hate? I hate Smallville, I'm sorry, I can't really stand it. I find the storyline a bit thin.

Pretty much all "reality" (Survivor) or "spectacle" (AmerIdol/Voice) television. Just see no use for them except as a distraction.

I feel like they should all just be retitled, "Andy Warhol presents: 15 Minutes of Fame! Brought to you by Campbell."

Ditto on the "reality" shows. The only one I ever could really stomach was Deadliest Catch. Also can't stand the performance shows - I've seen the Gong Show, it never gets better than that, so don't try :p

Tosh.0, mostly because I find Daniel Tosh to be insufferably annoying.

All of the "Here's a family with a weird profession" type reality shows ala Pawn Stars, Swamp People, Honey Boo Boo, etc.

Well, I guess just "Reality" shows in general for me as well. I think most of them are scripted in one way or another.

Any reality show. I can thank the glut of them that dominated TV at one time to the years that went by where I just didn't watch TV at all.

I feel the same way as many of you regarding reality shows, but I go into more detail by despising "reality competition shows created for television" like Survivor and song/dance contests (remember when there were about a half dozen cake decorating competitions?). My only exception is Iron Chef. Other reality shows can be classified as documentaries. I like Discovery and some Travel Channel stuff (Mythbusters, No Reservations, Top Gear UK), but Travel brought in too many food shows. I used to watch a lot of Food Network and Cooking Channel, but that has dropped to near zero viewing time, especially once Good Eats ended. I dislike a lot of Bravo/AMC/A&E/History stuff like the proliferation of pawn/storage/duck/housewives angles.

After reading klew's post I realized I do have one exception to my dislike of reality tv. I really enjoy watching Chopped when I do catch it on. I also like the old Iron Chef series.
