Well, now, thanks to you, I'm thinking about a song that has a lyric that goes "I'm thinking about thinking about the sort of thing that I thought that I'd never be thinking" but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called or who performed it. It had a sort of.. 311ish feel to it.
I'm thinking about my current research project and the internship I'm supposed to do next spring and what I'm making for dinner and my son's fraction homework and parent-teacher conferences at the end of the week...and crap I forgot to refill my prescription! Why isn't my husband home from work yet, what is that bird singing the lovely song outside, and I need to email an RSVP for a birthday party.

I'm worried about the student protestors who are occupying the Legislative Yuan building in Taipei, to express their dissatisfaction with the government's ham-fisted attempts to ram through a trade deal with China. Over the weekend, another group of protestors tried to storm the Executive Yuan building (basically the government HQ) and were beaten back by riot police. The students were entirely unarmed, and ended up bloodied by police wielding riot shields, batons, and water cannons.
It's all everyone in Taiwan can think about these days.
Oh, also, a politician who works in the Executive Yuan building complained on TV that the protestors had eaten a pack of cakes on his desk. In response, people have been sending him hundreds of boxes of cakes.

Had to try to explain to a coworker just exactly why he shouldn't give himself a Hitler 'stache and do the Nazi salute while speaking German while in the workplace.
So now I'm thinking about
1) why didn't I finish my degree?
2) does his argument that Hitler killed people with mental disabilities too, so because he has autism that makes it Ok, hold any water?

Now I'm thinking that most people that claim to have autism are actually just self diagnosed as an excuse to act like a fool.
Please note that this is different from people who actually have it.
I've heard people self-diagnose with Asperger's, but not general autism. Autism has a more severe level of impairment in many cases--you can't really "act like a fool" to fake autism.
Asperger's is under the umbrella of autism, and is what I was talking about. I know several people who have self diagnosed them as such, and refer to themselves as autistic.
As a Jew, my philosophy on taking on attributes of a nazi comes down to two things:
1. Are you not seriously advocating the extermination of any number of a group of people?
2. Are you funny?
If you can answer yes to both questions, then go right ahead (see, South Park).
If not, then you look like an annoying idiot at best, and an anti-semetic asshole at worst

This is the same kid who feels most comfortable communicating in memes and has to be told to clean up glass that he himself broke, and doesn't understand why he has trouble focusing and then crashes after having 10 shots of espresso. However he can also explain how something in the coffee brewer is acting as an electromagnet and leaves his sketches of circuit boards all over the back desk.

I'm thinking about weather or not my my closing is happening tomorrow on my new house. Like, the house hit the records in 1958 but apparently the neighbors say it existed since the 1920 and I need to know this shit and find the last two residents but apparently they are ghosts or some shit.

Most, no. But I've read about some "long con" plant accounts that try to build up seeming "legit" posts and then suddenly turn to marketing/advertising. With our latest member's very noticeable tendency to start so many new threads almost on a daily basis, it smells like someone trying to build a posting history in a hurry. I expect maybe in a week or few, the new "random question" threads will start having links in them that go to products.
Or I could just be paranoid.

Maybe she was running the same con there, but got banned before flipping. Or I could be wrong, as I said. It's just this is the exact sort of behavior I would expect out of a plant to try and "force" a presence on a site to try and establish themselves before starting to post a whole bunch of "sponsored links."
Right now I'm thinking that my lack of motivation is disappointing and concerning.
