How about, you just let them be shitty writers and never accomplish anything so there will be less competition for the rest of us
.A lot of the people on Tumblr like to read and write fluffy fanfic where nothing happens and the characters they've borrowed are reduced to one emotion, whichever the writer wishes they could experience from their non-existent significant other. I facepalmed when someone made the idea of writing an original character sound like this amazing, revolutionary thing. They weren't being sarcastic, they thought it was "so cool!" It's a step in the right direction, but it means nothing if those original characters are written as inhuman and hollow as the ones in their smutty fanfics.
Don't waste your effort. It's pointless and for most of them what goes on on Tumblr will be a period of time they think on with shame 10 years from now.

Though I do strive for conflict. Actually...I reach for conflict because I love writing it.

I agree with what you said, though I don't know the whole context. I'm only up to episode 19 of Welcome to Night Vale, and I haven't heard anything about the rumors of upcoming events. So I'm not really sure why people are upset, but what you said is true, conflict drives stories. If there's anything I've come to expect from Night Vale, it's conflict, and subtle twists on old cliches.

Do you ever stop to think about the economics of food in a comic strip universe? I mean, Dagwood can eat a sandwich as big as he is for a midnight snack. Roger Fox eats his age in plates of food for Thanksgiving (and the guy is middle aged), while Paige Fox can down 30+ gallons of ice cream at a sitting. Even an 11 year-old kid like Curtis, too young to have a job, can eat party sized sub sandwiches like they're bite sized snacks. Food must be really cheap in comics (but then, how does Wimpy never have enough for even a burger?)
Pretty sure Wimpy is just a dick, I mean one time he disguised himself as/beat up Popeye so he could eat all the hamburgers Olive Oil made him.

The only part that doesn't make sense to me is the "this means steady" part. Everything else is fine.

Anyone know a good eco-friendly detergent? I use the Trader Joes brand and it sucks.
Try making your own? 1:1 Washing soda and borax, use 2-4 tbsp per load (can't say I've tried it myself, so no idea how well it works).

Looking around, I see some recommendations to add some grated bar soap, too (Fels-Naptha seems popular).
