Games on SALE!

At 99% off, they might as well just give it away for free.
If you sell a million copies for 50 cents, that's still a hell of a lot more profit than selling it for zero.

I don't actually know if a million copies is in the ballpark of what steam sales usually go for, but I picked it for easy math.

Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics have returned to Steam, and are discounted until July 1.

For anyone who didn't know, what happened was that on January 1, 2014, the rights to these games transferred from Interplay to Bethesda. Bethesda took them off all online sales channels, including Steam and GoG, so that they could fiddle with it. Now, six months later, the fiddling's done. Apparently the Steam versions of the game have been patched to work better with modern machines, and Fallout 2's had a graphical upgrade. Oh, and the copyright screens now say Bethesda rather than Interplay.

That would be a great deal... if I hadn't already gotten Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics from GoG for free back in December. I GUESS I could get Brotherhood of Steel, but that game is shit anyway.

Yeah, apparently Interplay decided to have one last hurrah and gave the games away right before their license expired. I guess Bethesda figured they needed to give the games something extra, otherwise no one would have any reason to buy them.

Is it just me, or are the tie-in activities getting ridiculously complicated? I have no idea what's going on with the summer adventure. I guess I'll just sell my cards in the marketplace...?

They lost me last sale. I just said "whatever" and completely disregarded it.

If you don't want your card, I'd suggest passing them to another member who might want them. But the basic idea of this years event is...

- We're all randomly assigned to teams.
- When we craft a summer badge (Or any other badge), we earn points for our team.
- Whichever team has the most points at the end of the day gets prizes.
- Anyone who contributed points gets 2 cards. Everyone else on the team gets 1.
- 30 random people a day on each winning team will receive 3 games off their wishlist.

So basically you want to craft your cards into a badge to win the grand prize and to receive in-game items. You can also receive tokens that will let you alter the scores or even switch teams if another team is about to win.

That said, if you don't want your cards, I'll take them/trade you stuff for them.

You know, it really sucks that I get my profit sharing on July 1. They really need to move the sale back a couple weeks.

10 bucks or 66% is my rule. If it isn't under 10 bucks, or over 66% off, I don't get it.
I usually add "Or it's someone' birthday soon and this is the cheapest I will get it by then" as my rider. 30% off Stick of Truth is tempting to me because I have a friend with an upcoming birthday who loves South Park.

The fun thing to do is there are games super cheap and you already own it? Checking friends who have it on their wishlist and gifting it to them. :D I did it quite a bit last Christmas.

Current flash deals for the next 8 hours:

-Half-Life 2. 75% off, $2.49. (for all two people in the world who still don't own it)
-Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2. 25% off, $44.99 (to quote @GasBandit, "fuck off")
-Anno 2070. 75% off, $7.49
