Colbert taking over for Letterman for some reason.

Gordon seems like a good choice. I don't know how imaginative his comedy will be in comparison to Craig's. Craig always likes to inhabit the immature and playful sides of comedy. Ferguson is witty, but I think my biggest laughs are when he pulls out his puppets and just improvs. I used to go see him during the tapings for the show. Everytime was always a hoot.
I'm hoping that Gordon keeps up the energy that Craig maintained throughout the run. Craig was always very friendly and responsive to his audience. Gordon is going to have to do the same considering how small a production it is in comparison to Colbert's.

Are they dropping Ferguson or is he retiring since he got snubbed for the big seat?
He's said 10 years was enough. He was prepared to go in June, but was persuaded to stay on through the end of the year. None of it had anything to do with not getting the 11:30 gig,

And that's who should have gotten the gig. An established, hip, funny guy who is not a character and knows how to run a nightly talk show, not a comedy central show.[DOUBLEPOST=1397166831,1397166796][/DOUBLEPOST]Frankly, I think John Stewart would have been a better choice than Colbert.
He had a chat show; it didn't work. Maybe now that he's done the Daily Show he would be better, but I think Colbert is a better choice. However, Ferguson was/is the best choice.

I imagine Ferguson has other things set up. He'll still be doing voice work, for example, with the How to Train Your Dragon series. Probably still do some stand-up and tours because it seems like he legitimately loved doing those. He'll be fine. I'll miss the hell out of him, but he'll be fine.

It's kind hilarious that - given that Craig is a huge Doctor Who fan - that Corden is taking over. The only time I've ever seen his work were his appearances on Doctor Who, which were awesome.

If you want to see some good James Cordon, check out Gavin and Stacey. He was one of the stars of that show. He's also the lead in the upcoming screen adaptation of Into The Woods.

Yeah but that was a fairly awful show. He was good in it but I found the title characters to be annoying and most of the supporting characters were worse. I just couldn't give a fuck about any of the relationships.
