Games on SALE!

green man has it for $18.79 right now.
What's "green man?"

Also, at the local we're-not-Wal-Mart store, I checked out the clearance gaming section (as I always do) and noticed they had 3 copies of AoE:O for sale.
So I took them up to the customer service desk and told them that the game hasn't been accepting new players since Sept 2013, and in fact has shut down and ceased all operations as of July 1st, 2014.
We'll see what they do about it.

I have Borderlands 2, but considering I abandoned Borderlands 1 halfway through, I feel no motivation to start the second game. :(

Especially with coop with people who :

1. Stop playing randomly halfway into the game.
2. Continue playing the game while you can't game for a day and are 15+ levels above you.

I played a little bit of the first one, but didn't really enjoy it. Plus, my notebook won't run it, even if I wanted to give the games a second chance.

So, if I couldn't get through the first one, would you guys suggest I leap right into the second?

I'm finding it hard to articulate what I disliked about the first one. Just got bored of it, I think.

Finished the game in coop with Adam, it was very fun albeit some quest areas were repetitious. Season pass is on sale, gonna see if we'll pick it up. Heard the DLC content is a notch better and of course, the big bosses is of interest to me. The humor was amazing.

Couldn't get into it anymore than I could the first. Lootathons, no matter what form they take, just don't interest me.

I have both and it's killing me that I can't put the time in I want to to finish the first one.

Of course it doesn't help that I have to complete every single ridiculous side mission I can, because loot.

I'm tempted to pick up Titanfall, but money is too tight at the moment. I'm sure it'll be on sale for less eventually.

And it probably requires origin...

I use it frequently - the main PC games I play are from Bioware and require it. It's mildly annoying at times but no more or less than Steam, generally.

Not a deal, per se, but I mentioned this in another thread.

Target's currently has CoD: Ghosts for $23.49 for Xbox One on their website. They price-match their website in stores, and they're also doing a promotion right now where you can pre-order the next CoD for $1 to get $20 off CoD: Ghosts. This brings the price down to $4.49 + Tax for a new copy of Ghosts (caveat: the point-of-sale will allow this transaction, but one employee at a Target I went to would only allow me one promotion or the other).

Gamestop is currently doing a deal this week where, with coupon, you can get an extra 50% trade-in on each game. At the moment, they're offering $20 base price for Ghosts for Xbox One; plus coupon, this puts it at $30 (or $32 if you have Gamestop's discount card). You can't trade in more than one copy of a game per day per Gamestop, but I've traded three copies so far and gotten $100+ in store credit so far (the trade-in value dropped earlier this week). If you can't find the 50% coupon (oftentimes they'll have a couple lying around in the front, even if they say they don't have any), they're also doing a "Get 30% extra when you trade in towards a pre-order of Madden 15." You can do this, preorder Madden 15, get the bonus, then simply cancel your pre-order later on and get all your credit (plus the bonus) back.

Humble Indie Bundle 12
- SteamWorld Dig
- Hammerwatch
- Gunpoint
Beat the average for:
- Papers, Please
- Luftrausers
- Gone Home
Pay more than $10 for:
- Early acces to Prison Architect
Pay more than $65 for
- a collection of physical goods including a t-shirt, a floppy disc, a vinyl record, etc.

All that plus the usual money to charity, bonus soundtracks, and more games to come.

I've played - and greatly enjoyed - Gunpoint, Papers Please, and Gone Home. Could gift those to friends, I suppose. But $10 for Prison Architect is damn tempting. Anyone else played it to give it a thumbs up or down?
