Judging by the information on the Wikipedia page, I'd say cautious is being too hopeful. It looks like a second season has had a lot of false starts and I don't know if it will get off the ground again.

As much as I loved that show to bits, I wouldn't get your hopes up. The creator has been trying to get a second season off the ground all this time.
Surprised he hasn't considered crowd funding it.
Yeah I know, but its still more of a chance than Invader Zim got. I swear I pledged to like THREE petitions as a teenager, sad times.
Bojack Horseman: Well...that was one of the realest things I have seen in a while. And considering two thirds of the people in it were anthropomorphized animals that is saying something.
I watched the first ep, seems interesting. Might get back to it eventually.
You won't regret it, its a great season.
Yeah, the fact we won't get more is a real shame, it's a fantastic show.
To be fair, there's an episode near the end of season 1 that redeems that catchphrase. I won't spoil it, but you'll know it when you see it.
God DAMN it, Young Justice is so good. I just finished the episode with the children and adults being separated into two dimensions. The characters are well fleshed out and it FEELS like the DCU, as I mentioned earlier. I love that the larger DCU heroes play a major part in the show without pulling focus off the main heroes.
It probably helps that I was a HUGE fan of the Young Justice comic book and they have included a bunch of nods to it, like Secret, the Super Cycle, and Klarion the Witch Boy being a major villain. LOVE IT TO PIECES.
If I didn't have to get to bed for school tomorrow, I'd be binge watching this through all 2 seasons.

It's funny because I thought the same about her phrase, and then it was explained and I felt like a jerk.

I finished up season 1 of Young Justice. Solid all the way through. I see what you all mean about Miss Martian's catchphrase now. It's also nice to see a Milestone characters other than Static get some screen time.
I'd have to say the only thing that I hated was the Riddler. Hated the design, hated the voice acting choice, hated the characterization. It was also weird hearing Lex Luthor's voice from King Faraday.

Yeah, Brent Spiner is Joker in the series, and he's alright but it's so hard to deal with anyone but Mark Hamill at this point.
Yeah, I wasn't thrilled with Data Joker, either. I have actually liked most other voice actors doing the voice to SOME extent, but Spiner's take was so bland. Not at all full of maniacal glee.
There's a video game out there that covers the time jump. Yes, the show skipped a year or two JUST to sell that game and to make fake drama.

Huh, Young Justice: Legacy released Nov 19, 2013. Season 2 of Young Justice season finale March 16, 2013. The game that was to cover the time jump came out 8 months after the series ended, and more than a year and a half after the season began. And the game sucked, as well.
This stinks of "editorial mandate".
I wouldn't call it bad writing, but bad editorial direction. Lots of different writers for the series, so your editorial staff is what is planning it all out.
Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and others including a Green Lantern and a telepathic detective have no memories of a 16 hour gap when they were off in space while mind controlled by a super-villainous organization, and just goes and doesn't nothing about it or the light for five years. Bad plotting is bad writing.
uh, are we still talking about TV? I dunno if there's some like, uh, weird comic influence on this TV show I'm not catching. But like, the showrunner is usually the head writer / who decides the broad strokes. Anyone that decides what happens is a writer, even if they're not like putting exact words to paper.
Sorry, I'm kind of rambling. But I also don't think time jumps are inherently a bad thing. Battlestar Galactica, Parks & Rec, every season of Mad Men pretty much... have used them and not gone shitty immediately.

When you're dealing with established characters that exist in other media, whatever company owns the characters has a lot of say. I imagine that the writers for Once Upon a Time have to put all of their ideas past higher ups at Disney, the same for Agents of SHIELD. Plus, there's the fact that, like most animated shows aimed at children, the marketing and merchandise departments also get a say.
That ending sure makes you wish they'd been renewed though, eh?
His grandfather looks like Apache Chief would if he'd been in his late 20's on Super Friends.
And yes... the ending was written under the assumption they were getting another season. Ironically Justice League wrote every season finale as the show finale but they kept getting seasons instead.
Not just that, but Asami and Ed Dorado are based off of Samurai and El Dorado from Super Friends, as well.
With Static being the Black Vulcan expy, despite being an established character in his own right.
