Rolling in from the bars at 3am is okay... unless you were already supposed to be at work.

Boss is looking for his guy. I don't want to have to tell him the dude was about a half step removed from passed out at the moment he should have been on the job.

One that won't raid the icebox! One that'll stay in shape! One that's never gonna try to migrate or escape. Or I'll tie him up with duck tape.

I met today a couple of kids. They are 10 and 15 years old and they have lived in usa all their lives. They don't like to eat any kind of soup, or rice or fruits or vegetables. They've never seen a watermelon before!. They only eat fried chicken, pizza or hamburgers. Also they are almost twice my wife size.

U-S-A! U-S-A!

...ok, I have to sit down now.

Is this weekend something special, like a holiday or something? Friday, the subways, buses, and downtown offices seemed abandoned, and people in another building of our complex were bringing in lots of water for what looked like a party. Now there's a party going on in a neighboring apartment. I don't know if it's coincidence or something I haven't heard of.

That's sad. I don't understand how people can teach/allow their kids to eat like that. My kids don't usually eat soup, but my daughter would live off of rice, almond butter, and fruit if we let her.

Cary only eats peanut butter sandwiches. When he was < toddler, he would eat pork, pumpkin, asian noodles, eggs, or whatever we put in front of him. Now he only eats peanut butter sandwiches (w/ jelly or honey), pizza (Cheese only, and NO OLIVES!), or crackers w/ the blandest cheese possible. He's missing out on SO MUCH!

Lily is a picky eater, too. I make her try vegetables and meats, though I don't force her to eat more than a bite or two if she really doesn't like it. As long as she tries it, I'm ok with her saying she doesn't like it. Also she and Cary are not 15 year olds. That makes a difference.

I had Pho for the first time yesterday, a nice beef tendon and noodle soup. I was a little confused when my brother pronounced it like "Faux", so I though "He wants me to eat fake soup?"
Our local Vietnamese place closed before I got to try it. :( But, the local Thai and Indian restaurants are pretty good.
