You read that right. With Ame having a life and no longer backing me up as the Tech Admin, I've been quietly looking around at who would be a good replacement in case I got hit by a bus or something. That person is @GasBandit!

Gas has been a member for as long as I can remember, he's level-headed, I think most people like him, and he's tech savvy where I'm not. So while I'm the main dude still, Gas will be around to help out when I need it and will have the ability to keep the lights on just in case. As you are all fond of telling me, I'm not getting any younger.

I don't foresee any changes in the day-to-day workings of the site. So please welcome Gas as your new overlord in training!

Yeah, Gas is a good guy who's cooled down a lot over the years. If this was younger, hipper, rebellious GasBandit, then I'd be worried. But he's proven that he'll disagree with you but still let you do your thing. I don't think Charlie has anything to worry about.

As Bowiee says, kidding aside, I don't really see myself doing much "moderating." I get the feeling we're fairly self-policing at this point, and/or the existing crop of moderators already does a fine job of keeping things how they should be. I may help more with tinkering with the "guts" of things (though I don't have quite the scripting chops Ame does - changing theme stuff will probably be a struggle for me), but you guys don't need to be digging graves for my enemies I might squash the occasional spambot if nobody else is around to catch it, but I'm going to be more mechanic than bosun.

After all, what better moderator to have than a libertarian one?
