I just watched the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh with Jet on Netflix and...actually kinda liked it? I even enjoyed laughing at the obvious censorship (ie. Bandit Keiths missing gun).

I sorta feel sad...not because he was farting loud all those years but because he now KNOWS. He will now know the terror of letting one rip in a pretty much silent lecture hall or the embarrassment of cracking one during sex.

This guys has basically been robbed of a freedom we have never known.

I think this deserves mourning.

TIL/With your post I learned: twice as much about Yu-Gi-Oh than I knew yesterday.

Seriously...

and I still don't feel like I need to follow up on any of this knowledge.

My husband's company expects this behavior so much that they make everyone take the last two weeks of December off. They only get paid for about 5 of those days unless they use vacation though. Doesn't really matter to us since my husband never ever uses vacation unless I make him.

Only in the "So Bad It's Good" way. It's a Lifetime movie and has some of the same problems (pointless B plots for one) but the self awareness of the movie really does help lift it from the usual crap they put out.

Man, I'd love to be able to take time off.

I can't though. The radio station never stops broadcasting, and if I don't do what I do every day... we kinda pretty much don't get paid.

I'm trying to train up someone who can cover for me for vacations, but it's slow going because the system we use is balls and there are 9+ exceptions for every rule... and lots of crap you "just have to know" by virtue of having done it for so long. This salesperson never does this thing right, you just have to expect it. This agency always does this one wierd thing, you just have to know to adjust for it. These commercials come from this one left-field website nobody else uses but their traffic instructions still come via the mainstream delivery website. 10 second billboards are live except on this station during these hours during which time they have to be recorded so you have to set up nesting rotation rules yadda yadda yadda yadda.

I AM THE ENTRENCHED BUREAUCRACY.

The problem is the trench is now so deep I can't climb out of it to go visit relatives.
