I'm really disappointed about what I'm reading about some of the games on my wishlist that have finally come down 66%ish. Apparently Planetary Annihilation went to shit, and so did Meridian - New World. Bummer.

And why the fuck does Rust think it is too good for steam sales? It has never come down by more than 10% from what I've seen. Scuttlebutt is players are already abandoning it for the next "thing" to come along, even though it's still "early access."

Here's the deal with Ground Zeros: Did you like Peace Walker and it's mission system? If you did, then it's fine.

Otherwise, don't pick it up.

You know, there is something seriously wrong with the leadership across the board at Japanese gaming companies. Just some of the examples we've posted here really make you wonder what the hell they're thinking.

Huh. Okay, I stand corrected. However, with the actions of Capcom Japan, Square-Enix, Konami, etc, you can hardly fault us for easily believing that of Bandai-Namco Japan.

I wonder how they can even claim a DMCA on this... does it contain source code or assets from the original game? If not, then they don't have a case.

Going by later posts in the NG thread, apparently the intent was to kill the debug mode patches that the DSfix patch got accidentally swept up in the list. The legal company serving the notices is emailing Namco and Dropbox to appraise them of the situation and allow DSfix to go back up.

Boy, this sure looks nifty. I've always worried that Star Citizen will end up being the Duke Nukem Forever of crowdfunding, though.

I'd like that game to succeed but the elitism that oozes from that game before it's actually playable makes me cringe how casual gamers will even approach it.

Guy posts review on steam of Dead State complaining that it went gold with lots of unaddressed bugs.

"Hilarity" ensues.

TLDR: DoubleBear (Dead State's dev) shoots themselves in the foot, does 1000x more damage than a negative review.
Yeah, they absolutely didn't come off as professional there. Do I think the reviewer was being an ass? Yeah, a bit. I mean when you have AAA titles like Assassin's Creed Unity that are loaded with game-breaking bugs upon launch, it seems kind of silly to single out a much smaller company's work. On the other hand, obviously the community was well aware of the buggy state of the game and to release it as-is, while now industry normal, comes off as sucky behavior, and by trying to stifle his mostly valid-seeming complaints, they have done a lot of damage to their reputation.

Square-Enix unloaded a heap of DLC for Theatrhythm Curtain Call. The Bravely Default stuff was expected, they announced that. What they hid until now was stuff from Saga Frontier, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, more. :sohappy:

Since I'm a console peasant, I may be one of the few who noticed that PSN and Xbox Live have been down since yesterday thanks to a DDoS attack. Way to ruin Christmas for the kids who just got their consoles, ya fuckers. My only inconvenience is that I can't load some DLC from Shadow of Mordor, but still, it's ass.

On the flip side, Nintendo's network has apparently been smooth overall, a big change from last year.

Yeah my brother bought an XBone to play games with friends, and I couldn't play anything last night. Unfortunate, but lucky for me my big gift this year was a new case/MoBo/RAM, so I can actually play games past the Low settings now.

Except they have fully playable segments out there. And a timeline. The first part of the single player game, Squadron 42 is currently being mocapped by Andy Serkis' company.

Though that trailer is Peter Molyneux as all hell.

On Star Citizen, I absolutely adore the commercials for the ships which all exist inside of the game's own lore.

And more that you can see on their youtube channel.

This game knows how to stoke my space boner, that's for sure.
