Funny (political, religious) pictures

Privacy is a very important aspect of life. It's a concept with a lot of fuzzy areas where it's hard to tell right from wrong, and it's even fuzzier when the law is concerned, but it's not something that should be violated lightly.
I would really like for the number/percentage of people who feel this way to steadily increase.

Pez, I do agree with you that we do need to check our sources before spreading things. It is far too easy to fake digital "evidence" these days.

On the other hand, I do feel like the anonymity of the internet has allowed too many occasions where, because we are not face-to-face with the people we converse with, we feel we can say and do things to that other person because they can not retaliate (physically or otherwise) to us directly. I've of the opinion that we should be responsible for our words and actions at all times, and use them as we would if we were face-to-face. There's no excuse to hide behind a screen name in order to harass and threaten others.

I think the problem I have with the picture above is that after seeking to kick the person out of school there is an apology, but that's apparently not enough, we need public shaming. It feels like no one is ever allowed to change their (mistaken) opinions.

There is a difficult line between the dangers of anonymity, and benefits of privacy. You're right about that. Wish I knew an answer.

Common sense tells us that we should always "treat others as we'd want to be treated". Common sense never met the internet.

Not to mention that even well-intentioned people can mess that one up. "Well I would want pickles on my hamburger, so that means everyone will like it when I put pickles on their hamburger for them." Not how it works.

From BoldRide:
When Texas plumber Mark Oberholtzer traded in his black Ford F-250 pickup truck, he expected it would live a second life in the hands of new owners, but probably not these owners.

Oberholtzer's Texas City plumbing company, Mark-1 Plumbing, has been inundated with threats after a photo of his old Ford work truck appeared on a terrorist Twitter feed, equipped with an anti-aircraft gun in the bed and still bearing the company logo on the door.

How is it worth it to move a truck from Texas to Syria?
Probably close to not worth it at all. I have to wonder what kind of crazy story there is behind it ending up there.[DOUBLEPOST=1419033574,1419033528][/DOUBLEPOST]
Cheaper than getting a pickup and gun separately and putting them together on your own.
I mean, it was from TX.
