[Movies] The Upcoming Movies Trailer Thread

A horror film called Unfriended. The premise is that a girl who was cyberbullied to death comes back over Facebook and Skype to seek supernatural vengeance.

Probably going to suck, but the trailer does intrigue me somewhat.

...this a dark comedy right? Because if I was expected to not laugh at that kid putting his hand in the blender I have bad news for the producers.

Hey, remember when I said that Rob Riggle was going to play Frank West in a Dead Rising movie?

Well, HERE IS THE MOVIE TRAILER!

Um, I'll be over there. Not, uh, watching that movie.

Jeez, Crackle not only hasn't gone under, but is now starting to make their OWN movies now? I never saw that coming. I mean, they were basically a cheap knockoff netflix/hulu a year ago.

Wow, that looks bad. Looks like pretty much the result of nearly every movie based on a video game.

That reminds me, when the hell are we finally going to get Takashi Miike's Phoenix Wright film? It came out in Japan, got good reviews that said that it's finally a good video game movie that you can say is good without having to add "...for a video game movie", but I've heard bupkiss about any U.S. distribution or release date.

I have a DVD copy of the german Ace Attorney release and can't agree more. It is a good adaptation of the first game. There are some flaws though. Gumshoe is a little too young and Maya is not quirky like in the games. But this is more nitpicking.

And yet it still looks WAY better than that crap Kenji Inafune directed for the movie he did. This at least looks like SyFy channel movie quality.
Wait, he did a Dead Rising movie? Let me check.

*one YouTube search later*

...I can't believe I'm saying it, but Crackle is coming out with the better Dead Rising film, even with how bad that one is looking.

Maybe the sequels, but the first one was plenty dark in my opinions.
You know, I'm not actually sure I've even SEEN the original black and white godzilla from start to finish... or just pieced together my "memory" of it from clips seen over the last 30 years.

In any case, I might be willing to grant it the same "black and white movies" exception I'd grant 7 samurai.

Some can be taken seriously, some are giant monster wrestling matches, and some were just too awesome to become real. Seriously he was gonna fight the devil in one movie, I know the costume would look silly but it's the ducking devil!

Edit: Dammit autocorrect!

People really need to do something about the smokiness and lighting in all these movie conference rooms.

Oh goody. Another grim and gritty reboot.

Also, is it just me or from the shots we have of the new Thing, did they base his designs from The Golgothan from Kevin Smith's Dogma?

Well, okay, but the FF comic did start the grim and gritty trend in a lot of ways. If any comic movie should have it.
