Random Video Game Crap

I think if we're going to discriminate, it should be against Asians, because that's the biggest unfair advantage there is amirite?!

Well, South Korea DID want to make Starcraft an Olympic sport...

Can confirm, am Asian, am awesome at video games.

Except RTS games, I'm not very good at them. Oh and I've never played a MOBA in my life, so I can't say I'm any good at them. Oh, and TF2, I'm not that good at TF2. In fact, I'd say I'm not very good at first person shooters in general. Or third person, I suppose. Oh, and fighting games, not any good at them, because I can't use a joystick or gamepad to save my life. And I guess I can't really say I'm any good at sim games either. Oh and I like to play at the easiest difficulty setting in RPGs, cause I just want to get on with the story, you know?

I dunno man, I'm getting kind of an Inuit vibe, what with the sucking at video games. It's much more believable that you grew up in an igloo and squint a lot.

I'll need to see you try to drive stick, and listen to your father talk about how disappointed he is in your scholarly pursuits and/or career to be sure.

Shit, we need to COME UP WITH a design for a Halforums Academy shirt.
Just tweak the Halforums logo until it's full on ahegao?

Also, does anyone else think bhamv's picture looks like he's doing the "Senpai, please notice me..." expression?

I'd say it would need to involve Krusty the Clown, but there's a copyright issue.
We might could get away with using his sillhouette in one of the 4 quadrants of the shield, I'm thinking. Really, there's a market for maybe 30 of these shirts, so it may not even be a big enough issue to show up on their radar :p[DOUBLEPOST=1423013764,1423013734][/DOUBLEPOST]

HAH. You. I like you.

Hmmm. If we go the four quadrant shield, then maybe it should be "Schoolgirl Skirt", "Ahegao Halforums Smiley", "Krusty Silhouette", and "Bloody Knife" ?[DOUBLEPOST=1423014075,1423014041][/DOUBLEPOST]
I was going to say something about a quadrant shield, though one should be a pregnancy test.
Especially if it's Wasabi's shield.

I'd say one needs to be a pregnancy test, one needs to be a butcher's knife (for the deaths), one needs to the Hal-Face, and the last should be someone getting sucker punched.[DOUBLEPOST=1423014116,1423014083][/DOUBLEPOST]

This works too.

I like this one... the pregnancy test, the butcher knife, the ahe-gao hal-face, and a sucker punching. Then we can use a krusty head to cover the vertex of the divider of the 4 quadrants, rim the whole thing in laurels, and put the Halforums Academy title text at the bottom. Now we just need a latin phrase to put on a scroll across the top.

Does anybody know the Latin for "I heard they're up to no good?"

I'd say a fist instead of the knife, since there's more fights than murders (so far).

"Halforums Academy: Sexus, Mortem, Non Ineruditum"

According to some online translator, "Cui dubium est quod audivi haerent"

Good point. Google said it means "It is clear they are heard".[DOUBLEPOST=1423014982,1423014864][/DOUBLEPOST]Considering some of the questionable translations in the game, I'd say it was appropriate. (Meaning the awkward translation.)

Things like "Normalfags go die"?

I was sorely tempted to suggest putting THAT on the scroll, not even in latin. XD[DOUBLEPOST=1423015616,1423015348][/DOUBLEPOST]/facepalm

I tried rewording the phrase for google translate to "I hear they behave badly."

It came back in latin as "Male Audio."

Well, "audio" is literally "I hear" in Latin, that much I remember from my Latin classes (yes, I had 4 hours of Latin a week in high school. Sue me). "Male" translates to "bad things" or "doing evil",either works, so...Yeah, that's actually a pretty good translation. The first one's obviously off, but that's because things like "up to no good" aren't easy for a computer to pick up on - they'll translate such things literally - "going upwards, towards, not, positive" sort of stuff. Google's slowly learning vernacular, jargon and sayings, but it's got a long way to go.

My best stab in the dark at it, having spent the last 10 minutes trying to learn latin, is "Sunt male audio" which might possibly be the worst latin grammar since "Romanes eunt domus."
