I knew my favorite meal was missing something, TOO A PLACE THAT HAS COOKIES! Which is...almost every store that has food.Ramen soup, Grilled cheese sandwiches on sourdough bread, and double-chocolate chunk cookies for desert.
Are Onion Burgers an Okie thing? We do have quite a few onion burger things around the metro area. One of the best is Tuckers. The Mother-tucker is awe-inspiring.gonna be posting a lot more in here for a while. Now that the adult kids are out, it's easier to cook better meals. Less mouths to feed..and also, they were both picky as shit. And neither of them had any of their food issues in common. What one liked, the other didn't. So I only had a small handful of choices for dinners while they were here.
but now...Oklahoma Fried Onion Burgers
I have family in Oklahoma, so I'm familiar with them from there. Never really seen them anywhere else..Are Onion Burgers an Okie thing? We do have quite a few onion burger things around the metro area. One of the best is Tuckers. The Mother-tucker is awe-inspiring.

The onion burger was invented (according to one legend) at the Hamburger Inn in Ardmore, Oklahoma by a man named Ross Davis. Some of the most famous and popular onion burgers today, come from Sid's Diner in El Reno, OK.
Sweet. My wife and I miss onion burgers too. Having grilled onions placed on the burger (e.g. Five Guys) just isn't the same.I have family in Oklahoma, so I'm familiar with them from there. Never really seen them anywhere else..
