Only good thing about Mystic Quest was the battle/boss music.
I still love that the final boss can be twoshot by a fucking Cure spell.Only good thing about Mystic Quest was the battle/boss music.
Move over, Dark Souls; this is the challenge wagon.I still love that the final boss can be twoshot by a fucking Cure spell.
Wasn't this because of a programing oversight? Basically, healing it twice caused his HP to roll over into the negative sums and THAT is why he died?I still love that the final boss can be twoshot by a fucking Cure spell.
I'm not sure, I just remember that Cure hit him for somewhere around 90k+ damage so one would slam him to his second phase form, and another would end it.Wasn't this because of a programing oversight? Batman: Arkham Knight trailer "Gotham is Mine"
This is looking damn good.
Indeed. Like a scarecrow, one might say.Could be good, though I wish people would stop invoking that cliche "Over my dead body/that's the plan" bit.
Better Scarecrow than Nolan's on the one hand, but on the other, he's way too big. He should be a skinny little runt.
Anyone know whose face that was at the end?
It's not anyone I recognize off the bat, but I think it's possible that it's just a Scarecrow-induced illusion, instead of an actual character.Anyone know whose face that was at the end?
What face are you guys talking about? I thought it was the one I posted, because I don't see any other unrecognized face towards the end. It's not anyone I recognize off the bat, but I think it's possible that it's just a Scarecrow-induced illusion, instead of an actual character.
Alternatively, maybe it's Hush. IIRC he's got some disfigurement, right?
Also... heh, I just realized I said "off the bat".
Yeah that one. Ninja'd.What face are you guys talking about? I thought it was the one I posted, because I don't see any other unrecognized face towards the end.
I don't think he's big. In fact, it's hard to tell what size he is with all the stuff he's got strapped to him:Better Scarecrow than Nolan's on the one hand, but on the other, he's way too big. He should be a skinny little runt.
Oh. I thought they were giving us a peak at the character in the suit that had been hyped before as a big mystery.
This one? That's scarecrow, you can see his gas mask filter on the left.
Nah, that'sOh. I thought they were giving us a peak at the character in the suit that had been hyped before as a big mystery.
It could be. I got a "big" impression throughout the video, but this shot at the end:I don't think he's big. In fact, it's hard to tell what size he is with all the stuff he's got strapped to him:
I think you have a legit complaint, especially since there are way too many over-muscled characters out there. However, I'll take a wait and see approach, especially since Scarecrows are stuffed with straw. It makes sense that the Scarecrow would want to look impressive, and I think good character design would give him a false silhouette. It could be. looks pretty beefy. His arms are big and his shoulders are broad. Not Batman level, but bigger than I envisioned him. But yeah, I guess it could be equipment.
DX12 removes a lot of the overhead and layers between program and GPU (much like Apple's "Metal" and AMD's "Mantle" architectures). That means those GPUs can get to pushing those pixels around a lot sooner, which means more FPS.Brad Wardell just tweeted that DX12 gave him a 900% boost in framerate playing an unspecified game on an unspecified unreleased GPU.
I think I still have that (in the box with my SNES, wherever that is)!...the beloved...
...the memorable...
MYSTIC QUEST
All I'm saying is that the next good time to be asking yourself, "Is it time for a new rig?" will probably be about 4-6mo after the introduction of WinOS X and, since WinTen is supposed to come out early in H2 of this year (June/July-ish), that means "...new rig" time might just about coincide with WinXmas Season.Windows 8 is already required for DX11 and they've made it clear that Win 8 adopters are ether paying a heavily reduced price or nothing for 8+. I say BRING IT.

Blood Omen 2 is bullshit, by the way. You miss basically nothing by skipping it.Blood Omen and Soul Reaver were on PSX. Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omean 2, and Defiance were on PS2 and other systems.
It's not TERRIBLE, but it's painfully average, especially compared to Soul Reaver 1 and 2.Blood Omen 2 is bullshit, by the way. You miss basically nothing by skipping it.
And they probably won't learn a thing, unless the loss of an English voice actor impacts sales in Japan. So yet another good job, Squenix; like you couldn't have put the game out years ago if you weren't so intent on milking every drop from this franchise until its fanbase just ups and walks away. Nimoy's talent was worth far more than whatever you ripped out of Japanese kids' pockets. *Joker clap*
Which it won't; I know they don't give a shit about Kingdom Hearts contents; just the net worth after each side-story is released. I'm sure we're only hearing about KH3 being a thing because Squenix surmised they couldn't get people to buy another side game enough to be profitable. And they probably won't learn a thing, unless the loss of an English voice actor impacts sales in Japan.
They have a window where they can get Dick Van Dyke as a pretty fair substitute, but they'd better hurry. This is a really dumb, petty thing to get pissed at Square-Enix about, but I'm gonna say it anyway. They dragged their feet on Kingdom Hearts 3, year after year, so long that the man who voiced the main antagonist sadly passed away today, and now cannot reprise the role for the story's climax. Leonard Nimoy voiced Xehanort, the puppetmaster behind all the bad shit in Kingdom Hearts, and though I haven't played Birth by Sleep where the character makes its first appearance, he was a striking presence in Dream Drop Distance's finale, and Nimoy voiced him with a sense of harshness that made him seem wiser and more dangerous than anyone else in the room. I was really looking forward to hearing him voice this character for the big showdown. Not gonna happen, now.
